Tottenham player’s latest comments about Manchester United sparks response from fans

Fans brutally troll Sergio Reguilon and Manchester United after his comment in one of his recent interviews.

Reguilon joined Manchester United on loan from Tottenham late in the summer transfer window after Luke Shaw suffered a long-term injury.

And the Spaniard has proven to be a great signing for the Red Devils so far impressing everyone with his performances.

The full-back, in a recent interview with the official Manchester United website, was asked why he joined the club to which he replied:

“This question is too easy. Tell me one player that doesn’t want to play for Manchester United. It was an easy decision for me.”

But fans were too quick to call him out on his statement with many posting the list of players who have rejected United recently, with Frenkie de Jong being one of the players mentioned the most.

Some Manchester United fans also pointed out that United were interested in signing him in 2020 but he chose Spurs instead.

One fan wrote: “correct me if im wrong, but didnt he turn us down for spurs a few years back?”

Another commented: “What was in his mind some years ago.? He chosen Spurs instead of United if the rumors at that time were true.”

Reguilon joined Spurs from Madrid for €30m and enjoyed a decent first season. But since then he struggled to impress any of the managers including Mourinho, Conte, and now Ange Postecoglou.

He was strongly linked with a move to La Liga in the summer but was thrown a surprise life line by Manchester United after their injury troubles late in the transfer window.

His comments suggests that he is enjoying life at Manchester United and we may have seen the last of him at Spurs.

Whether United decides on signing him permanently or not remains to be seen.
