Tottenham today announced the signing of Radu Dragusin, ending their prolonged pursuit of the player.
Although Tottenham eventually closed the deal for the centre-back, they encountered serious competition from the Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
Fabrizio Romano has unveiled that the 21-year-old will don the number 6 jersey for the Lilywhites, formerly worn by the Colombian defender Davinson Sanchez.
The German club even offered the player a higher salary than Spurs, yet Dragusin chose the English club due to his childhood dream of playing in the Premier League.
However, Florin Manea, Dragusin’s agent, diplomatically kept the possibility of a future move to Bayern open and did not rule out the option.
After the transfer is finalised, the agent goes further with a slightly controversial statement, referring to the Lilywhites as a stepping stone in Dragusin’s career.
Speaking to the Romanian outlet Digisport, Manea stated that his client has a high ceiling and envisions him playing for Europe’s elite clubs. He said:
“In three or four years I see him at Real Madrid!”
“We are only at the beginning of the road, we want them to reach the best clubs in the world. Bayern is among the biggest clubs, but his dream is Real or Barcelona.”
The statements from the agent are down right disrespectful, considering he has just made a big-money move to the club and not even kicked a ball for Tottenham.
Some fans on social media have even suggested that the player should consider changing his agent.
Can this guy really stop speaking 😭😭
Like I get it, every players dream is to play for Madrid or Barca so he’s not really saying anything crazy but come on, the kid has just made a big money move to a massive club and he’s already talking about his next step

While the defender possesses significant potential, his abilities will be heavily tested in the English top flight. It will ultimately determine whether he can aspire to play for clubs like Real Madrid.
