Match Summary

19′: Brennan Johnson opened the scoring with a clinical finish after a quick counter-attack (1-0).

51′: Wilson Odobert doubled the lead shortly after half-time, capitalising on defensive lapses (2-0).

57′: Johnson was sent off with a straight red card for a reckless challenge, leaving Spurs with 10 men.

64′: Micky van de Ven produced a stunning solo goal, dribbling nearly the length of the pitch before slotting home—widely hailed as the highlight of the night and earning him Player of the Match honours (3-0).

67′: Palhinha tapped in from close range after a pinpoint low cross from Cristian Romero, rounding off a comprehensive performance (4-0).

Despite playing the final 33 minutes a man down, Tottenham controlled possession (58%) and created numerous chances, extending their unbeaten run in the competition to four games (8 points from 4 matches). Copenhagen struggled to respond, managing just 4 shots on target.

Palhinha’s Goal Breakdown

Palhinha’s finish was opportunistic rather than spectacular—a poacher’s effort in the box. Romero surged forward on the right flank, evaded a challenge, and whipped in a precise cut-back that found Palhinha unmarked about 6 yards out.

He side-footed it into the bottom corner past goalkeeper Kamil Grabara for his first goal of the season. It was a testament to Spurs’ relentless pressing and width play, even when shorthanded.
