Tottenham Hotspur are expected to have yet another busy transfer window this summer.
Spurs have been scouting potential signings across multiple positions ahead of the summer.
Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has shed light on Spurs’ plans, emphasising the importance of addressing key areas to bolster their chances of success in the upcoming season.
Romano believes Tottenham will have a busy transfer window
According to Romano, Tottenham are prioritising a midfielder, recognising the need for reinforcements in that area.
Additionally, the club is exploring options to add at least one attacking player, with a keen interest in both wingers and strikers.
The Italian journalist anticipates a busy summer for Tottenham as they aim to revamp their squad and address the shortcomings exposed during the current campaign.
Speaking to GiveMeSport, he stated:
“I think it will be an important summer for Tottenham in terms of midfield. And then [there will be] an offensive player, at least one offensive player.
“We will see if it’s going to be more a kind of winger or more a kind of number nine. But they are exploring the offensive players market and I think they will do something also in that position.
“So I think it will be a busy summer at Tottenham.”
Tottenham recently fell out of the Premier League top-four following a crushing 4-0 defeat against Newcastle United in their most recent match last Saturday.
They currently occupy 5th place with 60 points, trailing Aston Villa by 3 points. However, they have a game in hand.
With the coveted Champions League spot still in Spurs’ grabs, and Ange Postecoglou aiming to change the club’s mentality to contend for the Premier League title next season, the upcoming summer transfer window becomes all the more significant.
The Australian manager needs to address the gaps in the squad before the start of the new campaign.
One of the most pressing matters will be finding a potential replacement for Harry Kane, the club’s all-time leading goal scorer, who left last summer.
