Sassuolo’s Mert Muldur has become a transfer target for Tottenham as they continue to search for quality additions to their squad this summer.
The Lilywhites could only finish last season inside the European Conference League places.
They will be keen to make the top four at the end of next season under Nuno Espirito Santo.
They have just named the former Wolves boss as their newest manager and he has been working on transfer targets.
One player he could sign before the transfer window closes is young Turkish right-back, Muldur.
The Daily Mail says Fabio Paratici likes the Sassuolo youngster who has earned 10 caps for the Turkish national team.
He was with them at Euro 2020 and played in two games before they exited the competition.
He is a versatile player who can also play on either flank with the report claiming that Tottenham isn’t the only club looking to sign him.
They may face competition from West Ham and top European clubs in their bid to land him.
Tottenham is expected to sell Serge Aurier this summer and that would leave them with just Matt Doherty as a recognisable right-back.
Doherty will probably be their first choice having shone under the management of Nuno Santo at Wolves, but he would need some help from a backup full-back which could be Muldur.

Think we need 2 centre backs, right back, number 10 and a striker. Sell Dier, Aurier, Sanchez, Winks, Sissoko, Lamela, Dele, Toby and possibly Davies
Considering how poor Turkey were in the Euros, one would have to question how good this player is.
Exactly. There will be countless players linked with the club over the coming weeks. It’s like a re-run of the manager fiasco. For every 10 names there’s one gets over the line roughly’ish.
The world and his wife appear to be linked to Tottenham. How many will actually cross the line?
