ESPN FC’s Craig Burley and Ross Dyer look ahead to Tottenham’s FA Cup fourth-round replay vs. Southampton.
José knows the “healing properties” of a domestic trophy, and has recent experience of such during his stint at Manchester United when delivered the FA Cup for the Red Devils in 2012.
Spurs are currently @8/1 to win the trophy.
Burley explains why Spurs are the team to beat with their strong run of form of late, including a 2-0 victory vs. Manchester City. Burley adds that the Premier League top four and FA Cup are “realistic” goals for Tottenham this season and expects Jose Mourinho to field his strongest XI.
OK, you’re wrong! Seriously, I think many of us feel the same, we hope he can deliver even if there are concerns along the way.
Same here, we said.
I totally agree with you on Jose. I did not want him, and like a festering boil, he is growing on me a little at a time. I will give him his time to prove me wrong as well. I hope I’m wrong but the president he has set with his last 3 or so clubs is that of come in change things then implode them on his way out. Please let me be wrong this time!
you cant disagree here. FA cup is well within our capabilities, so is top 4 now. Jose could easily turn this season from a disaster to ok with top 4, to really good with FA Cup, who knows, possibly even special with the CL. I am still not swayed by him , very much on the side I don’t think he is that special, but I am happy to give him the 3 windwos I said I would to prove me wrong.
