ESPN claims Antonio Conte and the club are at a “disagreement over transfer policy” and training method

According to ESPN, sources have suggested that the intense approach to training and fitness implemented by Tottenham manager Antonio Conte may be causing issues for the players.

Antonio Conte is known for demanding a lot from his players in terms of training and fitness, and is known to push them to their limits in order to ensure that they are in top physical condition.

This approach was reportedly demonstrated during Tottenham’s pre-season tour of Korea, where players were seen vomiting and collapsing from exhaustion.

However, the effectiveness of this approach can be seen in the team’s performance on the pitch. Before Conte’s arrival, Tottenham were one of the lowest performing teams in terms of distance covered during matches, but under Conte’s leadership, the team quickly became one of the best in this area.

But now, according to ESPN sources, Conte’s demanding training approach combined with the busy schedule imposed by the 2022 World Cup could be causing problems for Tottenham.

There are reportedly some sources close to the club who are questioning whether Conte’s ‘gruelling training sessions‘ are suitable, given the condensed nature of the current season due to the scheduling of the World Cup in the winter.

The report also hints at a “disagreement over transfer policy” between the manager and the club hierarchy.

It is also suggested in the report that there is currently a conflict between Conte’s management style and Tottenham’s approach to running the club, and that both parties need to make adjustments in order for their partnership to be successful.
