The fullback situation is a massive concern for me now. Unless we’re going to see a change in formation and see width provided from a more traditional winger set up I don’t see how the manager is happy. My mate is a Brighton fan and I remember answering a concerned text with “we have Aurier on the pitch mate so you’ll probably get at least one from a penalty”. It happened. I’d love to see a Sissoko type transformation from the guy but lightening doesn’t strike twice…..he can’t be our main RB!

Harry I agree with much of what you said, but I still feel this squad needs some new blood, and as great as Eric can be done not hide some of his faults. If Spurs are seriously going to make a challenge and play attacking football then you have to ask the question how many of our present starting 11 would get into Man C. Not Eric as all Peps midfielders are competitors who fight for every ball and show desire to win when the chips are down. Eric on his day is the Rolls Royce of attacking midfielders, but that said is too often rather light weight . please don’t quote stats as to chances created etc we all know how good he can be BUT is consistently good enough to take us to the next level, maybe he needs more support from others, maybe I expect too much, but I still would like to see us cash in and re-spend on exciting future talent

Agree with Blanchflower them 3 will be fighting for the R.B position, after Nombele the next position for me needed is striker .If rose goes it looks like seggy will come ,but hey thats only the pish i read. In general i do think the players will perform better with no world cup leading to niggling injuries which really affected our thin squad. Would be nice to see winks have a injury free season and if we get Lecelso bonus!
If he stays we should look a much better side next season, with Ndombele giving CE and Dele far more licence to do what they do best.
Will it be a better side than the 16/17 one? No. Not when you look at the full back situation, esp if Rose is allowed to go. And if Eriksen does end up going we will be going into the new season with a worse side than last season. A lot is riding on levy getting that signature.
I agree with spurs 1882. Fullbacks should be priority. The best I’ve seen us was with walker and rose both on form. If we can’t afford a right back, the player I’d most like to see there is sissoko. When he covers from midfield if trips is high, he is immense defensively and can obviously drive forward.
If Rose ,Eriksson,Toby stay and we bring in lo celso and Ryan sessegnon then we challenge for the title. Also llorente ,just to for cover and plan B as we’re not going to buy another striker.
Just hurry with the lo celso deal, otherwise next season we will rue the fact that we could have signed him but didn’t.

Though CE signing (the old one… Not the one of last few months) and getting LeCelso would be amazing, my with before the window, and more now, was around our full backs. For me a CM general (ndombele) was priority 1. P2 was a right back, now looks like we need a right back and a left back… Potentially more than LeCelso.

Eriksen’s been the most dangerous and effective playmaker in the PL since 2013, KC. That’s what every measureable statistic proves. It would take a very special player to match his contribution to spurs let alone improve on it. And if there is such a player out there all the big boys would be after him.
