Hardly surprising stuff, but a significant indication that a move is on the radar.
Having spent the morning clicking around, it’s evident that two issue prevail.
The first being that if Eden Hazard’s signature is worth £100million then it is laughable to suggest that Christian Eriksen’s is worth more. Aside from being a genuinley fabulous footballer, Hazard is 28.
The second point of note is that in a season’s time, Eriksen is notionally ‘free to a good home’.
This de-energises any dealings in a manner not dissimilar to the Brexit negotiations with a ‘No Deal’ on the table does.
Eriksen on a free is very much on a par the UK’s threat to leave on World Trade Organisation rules. It’s a pretty big stick wave at an opponent.
There is no doubt at all here, that Levy risks being hoist with his own petard.
Should he refuse to accept a ‘sensible’ price, and resolutely keeps Eriksen, will that be a ‘win’? If the Dane were to play like he did last season would be
