Edin Terzic is among the names being considered should Tottenham decide to pull the plug on manager Ange Postecoglou, according to reports.
Spurs are on a wretched run of just one point in their last six Premier League matches and two wins in their last 12.
That’s seen them slip to 15th in the table following Sunday’s 3-2 defeat to Everton, just eight points clear of the relegation zone and a massive 16 points adrift of the Champions League places.
Postecoglou hasn’t been helped by Tottenham’s chronic injury crisis, dealing with double-figure absences for pretty much the entire campaign so far.
Among the key players to suffer multiple and/or long-term issues are Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Guglielmo Vicario and Destiny Udogie.
Spurs are also yet to sign an outfield player in the January transfer window.
Following the defeat at Goodison Park, Postecoglou was asked about Tottenham’s lack of transfer activity in relation to his own job prospects.
“I separate myself from that. This is not about me, but what is about me right now is I have the responsibility of the group of players I do have, to try and get us through this, and that’s what I’ve got to focus on,” said Postecoglou (via Football.London).
“For me to focus on anything else is abstaining myself from the responsibility I have. I’m just determined to get us out of this. The club’s doing its best to…more about helping the players than helping me because they’re the ones we’re asking some massive jobs of 18-year-olds. We had a 17-year-old out there trying to win games of football for us. And others who are just playing week on week, so, you know it’s more about getting the players help rather than me help.”
Edin Terzic to Spurs?

According to The Telegraph, Postecoglou doesn’t have anything to worry about in the immediate term with regards to his position in the Spurs dugout.
However, the club is already starting to draw up a list of potential replacements should they eventually dispense with the Australian.
Edin Terzic is thought to be on that list, with the German currently out of work since leaving Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season after leading them to the Champions League final.
It’s stated Terzic’s name ‘would likely be discussed’ should Postecoglou’s situation fail to improve and Spurs sack the former Celtic boss.
Spurs have also been heavily linked with highly-rated Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola, who has seen a recent surge in the betting markets.
