According to Italian football journalist Nicolò Schira the doe-eyed Dane is gone. In the Tweet above, Schira published the transfer news tonight.
That information was then added to with the following update: After an hour of conference call agreement found between Inter is Tottenham for Christian Eriksen. €20 million operation (including bonuses). Contract until 2024. The diplomatic work of agent Martin Schoots and intermediaries Frank Trimboli and Paolo Busardò.
Hopefully this is the last we hear of a player that has been happy enough to suckle from Tottenham’s bank account, but yet felt unable to deliver performances of any value whilst still wearing our shirt.
Last night’s game against Norwich plumbed new depths of passive play from the 27-year-old, even by his own somewhat withdrawn standards.
This entire business has been a salutary reminder to Premier League clubs to never hesitate, and simply hit the eject button on players who lose heart.

I’ve said from his first game that he seems over-awed, not looking comfortable in his own team, afraid of making mistakes. Still young and a full pre-season should help.
Two issues for him though, if the Serial Winner thinks Aarons is not physical enough, then Sess???? and he doesn’t use wingers as a first choice. However knowing Jose’s previous in nurturing young players on the path to winning things, I’m certain Sess is in good hands.
