Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to improve their defensive department during the summer transfer window and they have been linked with a number of players recently.
A report from 90 Min claims that Tottenham are currently in discussions with Bayer Leverkusen regarding a potential move for Edmond Tapsoba, who is valued at £45 million.
The 24-year-old defender has been a key player for the German club and it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can agree on a reasonable fee.
Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed that the deal for Tapsoba is on and contacts have taken place.

The Burkina Faso international is likely to be tempted to move to the Premier League if an opportunity comes along, and Tottenham would be an exciting new step in his career.
He has shown his quality in the Bundesliga and he will be determined to make his mark in the Premier League as well.
Tapsoba has the technical and physical attributes to thrive in English football and he will help Tottenham tighten up at the back.
The North London giants were quite vulnerable defensively last season and they ended up missing out on Champions League qualification. Spurs conceded 63 goals in 38 league matches and they will have to improve in that department if they want to do well next year.
The North London giants are thoughts to be closing in on a deer to sign Micky van de Ven from Wolfsburg and signing Tapsoba along with him could sort out the Tottenham defensive unit for the foreseeable future.
