Deal Done: Modern day star set to make a permanent transfer – club has confirmed it

Tottenham confirm veteran goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will leave the club in January to join Las Angeles FC. 

The World Cup winner has agreed a deal with the MLS side and is set to join them in the upcoming window.

The club confirmed the news on their official social media. The statement read:

“We can confirm that Hugo Lloris will depart the Club on a permanent transfer to MLS side Los Angeles FC.”

“After 447 appearances for us and establishing himself as a modern day great, we wish Hugo all the very best for the future.”

The player also shared an emotional farewell message with the fans which was shared the the club on X.

Lloris has been a great servant for Tottenham, spending 11 years in London, making 444 appearances and keeping 151 clean sheets. 128 of those were in the Premier League,  placing him 12th in the league’s history. He now stands among an exclusive group of 17 goalkeepers who have attained 100 or more clean sheets in the Premier League.

Despite his recent dip in form, Hugo Lloris will always be regarded as a club legend by the Tottenham faithful.
