Danny Rose’s 4 Worst Moments vs Liverpool [video]

By The Boy -

There was little love lost from fans, judging by the noises in the stadium and online when José Mourinho eventually hooked off our two superstars Danny Rose and Christian Eriksen, against Liverpool.

The pair made for a sorry sight, both men having been certain in their belief, that they were due brighter futures than Tottenham could provide them.

Rose had a stinker yesterday. 13 successful passes left him nursing an accuracy rate of just 59.1% Inside the penalty area, our dashing wing back failed both attempted passes to a player on his own side.

Just 1 out of 4 of Danny Rose’s throw-ins were successful. There were 15 unsuccessful actions, and 19 successful ones.

Here are the best bloopers.

Here the ball is delicately chipped in …to nobody

Spurs were regrouping …then Rose was involved

Tottenham began trying another assault …until Danny returned the ball

We were moving the ball out, nice and cleanly… We were…

Day in the life of a Lane Loverboy. Put on my glad rags, went to top-spot Tramps, pulled the best legged pop star bird there, took her home to my multi-million pound pad, impressed her rotten, took her to bed, turned out (she) had falsies and a bone, lost my ardour pretty sharpish. Still, the TV screens, sound system and wi-fi brought a whole host of films and entertainment. Got thrown out for putting my feet up on the seat in front. Gooner mates in stitches, nothing new.

Spurs play with the ball most of the time, always have done. You need to be resilient without the ball but setting out to watch the opponents have the ball most of the time is an abomination for any Spurs fan…

We had 60-75 % possession in games under Poch on a regular basis and lost. We had 30 % possession and beat teams too.

Danny was terrible.. Uncharacteristically though it was his first game back after injury.. He will need a week or a game or two before hes match sharp… I think if verts was there instead it would have been even worse, salah and mane have too much pace for him to handle.

Several football writers saying how Jose’s negative tactics are in danger of making Spurs ‘Spursy’ again after Poch worked for 5 years to make us a hungry attack minded side.

Is it ever right for a Spurs team to play two right backs and only have 27% possession of the ball (as we did in the first half) at home against Liverpool?

Jose is the wrong man for Spurs, the evidence is growing gave after game. Top 4 is gone, Levy will be happy with Ropey League and NFL, it’s all good as far as he’s concerned…

As classy a player Bale is his decision not to wholly integrate himself in the spannish culture by taking positive steps to learn Spannish if correct has IMO justifiably alienated the fans.

His lack of fight, pulling said leg out instead of crunching someone 😤🤯🤬 match after match🙄 Watching him be booed off, the look on his face. Probably how Bale feels.

Following their demolition job against the Villans, watching Kevin De Bryne constantly deliver peach of passes, a joy to behold for Citeh fans, incisive movement one touch stuff we can only dream of Citeh’s style of football in our new stadium!

As compared to say dangling your leg out out flakey Eriksen not a player you would connect to breaking sweat, rolling up his sleeves and dominating the midfield we sadly have never been accustomed to!

Yes very true, always had a soft spot for him but the usual October injury or two then back after Xmas hasn’t been kind to him or us. He’s here now, play him and GLC in the middle of the park. They made a difference when they came on, we started attacking.

Coco should start instead of Dele, maybe not at LB though.

Is that because they don’t have anyone else to pick, small pond. Or he’s good, scored a shed load of goals for us, 4 in one game. I say give him a go, Jose says he’s not ready yet every time his name is mentioned.

Think he has rest of this season, next season and that’s it. If he’s still here he’ll be used, they’ll not sign another left back with his wages still on the books. Mourinho will be told to whip him into shape.

Freshening things why not deploy Parrott in the attack against Watford.
Yes not ready yet he is only 17 I get the point but now that Kane is injured and top 4 is virtually extinguished lets try something different instead of the same old same old!!

Very much my thoughts on the game. Only thing with Tang though he hasn’t signed a new contract with us and with yesterday’s performance, his stock will have risen. Winning teams might come in for the England born ‘New Ledley’.

Poor borough FC manager Tom. I feel for him. He said he developed coby for 4 years. Turned him into a fine man and defender/captain. Responsibility made him a man on and off the pitch (Coby was going the wrong way “bad man” way) Tom trained Ledley king at Leyton Orient. Said he saw them both leave and they both hurt the same. Said he’s using his Greek connections to get a centre half sent over. He knows football is fluid. He’s gotta keep it moving. All them millionaires at the club up the road and they can’t put together a little wage fund for Haringey FC. (The players I mean). Free season tickets has to change at the borough. But chairman and knows the fan base is building. It’s all about long term. If they said to me £50 per season I’d pay it. Or even if it’s just £3 a game. Something has to be done. It’s the same all over non league though. Gonna pitch my idea to Tom to pitch my idea to levy about all the Tottenham/Haringey talent. Adel Skepta chipmunks wretch and all the rest of them to do charity gig at the new lane for the Boro. I should pitch the idea to Skepta and dem man deh personally really. Anyway. Cheer up Tom😊

Stick Lamella in the side who should be allocated corner duties when at least he kind of whips the ball into the box!

With his best days over, always fondly remembered for his stunning scorcher against our archest rivals sadly the guy’s finished. Offering nothing offensively he should not be playing. Full stop.

As we shall likely discover to our cost when we play Citeh at the Eithead, talk about a top notch natural striker who deserves all the plaudits it’s Sergio Aguero. Magnifique!

Not convinced we shall get anything from the match but it’s hardman Troy Deeney’s resurgent Watford up next waiting to add to our woes. Drop Rose, keep Tanganga in the side, drop flakey Eriksen and play Skipp. Lose this one. Ouch Lovely jubbly!

I’m going the opposite of negative on this one…….cause why not…..we all know the real problems. Mourinho set up a good game plan. He limits chances & if we finished could have tied if not won. Tang looked great for a first start against the best in the league. Man handling mane was great to watch. I think we got a player there. Rose, Erik, winks, son. Not good enough on the day. But atleast made it a game. Honestly thought we’d lose 3-0

All the comments on this thread about the ownership are 100 % accurate. We aren’t winning anything with enic that’s for sure . The only hope is that they sell and let’s face it the game is run by money , generally in every league the biggest spenders win, so hopefully we have new ambitions owners that spend and turn us around

Especially with a manager who doesn’t even embody a style of football that’s conducive to the club’s identity. Levy’s not even capable of giving the fans that anymore.

Like I was saying, if we are going to win nothing with these con artists, then let’s at least play a certain way. Might as well get someone like Potter in, why the hell not?

Spurs fans have had to make do with style over trophies as long as I can remember. If Levy isn’t even using that to satisfy the fan base then he’s truly lost touch.

I think this is unfair to Poch. Remember where we were before he joined. Achieving CL qualification and getting to the final was some achievement, considering how his hands were tied by Levy. He warned everybody two seasons ago that we had to be “brave” in the transfer market, were we hell. The merits of any manager are irrelevant under Enic and Levy. If anything, Poch papered over the cracks for too long. I don’t say he was perfect, but I doubt that Mourinho will do much better. How can our club go forward when our transfer committee consists of one unqualified bean counter?

Whoever bought into the idea of the new place being sone kind of catalyst for a new dawn can’t have been very bright. Only need to look down the Seven Sisters Road to see the decline since they built theirs.

Levyology is now well and truly defunct…
