Daniel Levy strikes again as player shut out ahead of exit

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur sanctioned the departure of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich earlier this summer.

The England international completed £100 million transfer to the Bundesliga club and a report from the Telegraph has now revealed that the striker was barred from entering the Tottenham training ground before his departure.

The report claims that Tottenham blocked the player from saying face-to-face goodbyes to the staff and his former teammates.

Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy has previously dished out similar treatment to Mauricio Pochettino, who was forced to leave his goodbyes on the training board.

Such developments will certainly not go down well with the Tottenham fans. Levy has often been criticised for the way he has from the club and his treatment towards Kane will infuriate the fan base. The 30-year-old England international is one of Tottenham’s best-ever players and sections of the fan base blame the club’s lack of ambition for his departure.

He is one of the best players in the world and his departure has surely weakened the side. The player failed to win a single trophy at the club level over the years and that forced him to consider a move away from London.

Spurs had a disappointing campaign last year and they missed out on Champions League qualification. It will be interesting to see if they can strengthen the squad sufficiently and get back into the top four this season. Tottenham are yet to bring in a quality replacement for Kane.
