Breaking Bank: The amount Real Madrid will have to pay for Harry Kane

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham are set to slap a £100m price-tag on Harry Kane according to the latest report by Daily Mail.

The report claims that Real Madrid are ready to inform Tottenham of their interest in Harry Kane after Benzema’s departure.

The report further adds that if Madrid do make a formal approach for him, Daniel Levy will demand £100m for him, knowing Madrid’s desperation to replace Benzema.

Madrid have a long standing interest in the 29-year-old and are now ready to rival Manchester United for his services.

It has been widely reported that both Manchester United and Real Madrid have made him their priority signing.

Madrid are hopeful that they will be able to negotiate a better price for him despite Spurs’ demand.

One crucial factor that may influence Kane’s decision is his desire to surpass Alan Shearer’s Premier League goal-scoring record.

Staying in England would provide him with the opportunity to achieve this feat, making a move to Manchester United the most plausible option.

The 29-year-old is into the final 12 months of his contract and he is yet to sign an extension with the north London giants.

Kane has been one of the best players in the world during his time at Spurs but he is yet to win a single trophy with the north London outfit.

It remains to be seen how flexible Daniel Levy would be in the negotiations.

It’s previously been reported that he does not want to sell Kane to a Premier League rival which could give Real Madrid a slight advantage.
