Tottenham’s chairman Daniel Levy, in a frankly ambitious initiative, has decided to go “all in” to secure the services of Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish this month.
Spurs had been linked with the 24-year-old in recent transfer windows, but had failed to turn the Birmingham boys’ head, despite a deal said to include a lifetime’s supply of hair wax and carrier bag of Curlywurlys.
More breaking news as we get it.
There you go again being rude to people and you get on your high horse about values… for you to be throwing around accusations of being ‘thickos’ gains more irony the more you do it.
Only a thicko wouldn’t flick through holy books. I’m non religious. more of a “movements” guy. Rastafari works for me. And unlike what most thickos think. it ain’t all about weed. Ital living. Clean heart. Now shoo.
He’s just scored a screamer !
He seemed to be a bit of a cocky plonker a few years ago but he was a kid. He’s got some swagger though.
Levy wasn’t mentally ready to get the deal done either.
You’ve memorised it and you end it with ‘something like that anyway’… you’re calling me thick? 😆
I don’t read fairy stories, you can if you like…
He’s an interesting person who seems to to have learned from his mistakes and some of the things that happened to him and players he was close to. Read some of his interviews on line to see where he is coming from.
Maybe this time show Aston Villa and Grealish some respect. Don’t mess them around in negotiations to the point where neither the player or the club wanted to touch Spurs with a barge pole. Don’t insult them with an offer of £6 million for a future England International, just because Villa were a Championship club that was in financial trouble. Don’t antagonise Villa to the point where the new owners put money into the club and didn’t need to sell, and decided to teach Spurs a lesson. That boat has sailed, we messed around and deserved to miss out. He’s developed a ton in the Premier League and I think he’ll be bought by someone else. I rate him highly as a player and a leader, more than a haircut as some call him.
Grealish is undeniably a serious player, the one issue that strikes me is his personality, the reference to curlywurlys is a good one, can he cope outside his Birmingham bubble ? He obviously wasn’t mentally ready when we tried last time, and at villa he has the freedom to play and do what he wants, its maybe why England haven’t used him as well .
Do you read the Bible thicko? There’s this passage I’ve got memorized “the path of the righteous fan is beset on all sides by inequities of the weak selfish bloody idiots. Something like that anyway
Fenway don’t sack people for questioning the regime. ENIC are a dictatorship with an outrageously overpaid loser charged with keeping a lid on the peasant’s revolt…
Levy is now open to playing competitive league games abroad. NFL, games abroad… when is this loser going to spend the money required to genuinely challenge for something?
Puts revenue streams before everything else yet our net spend is 17th? The man is a bore, and a charlatan, 20 years and one trophy is enough ffs. Just go, loser…
Lest we also forget, that summer was preceded by the coach of one of those clubs feeling compelled to call publicly on the owners for a brave refresh of the team.
Which of the coaches it was I cant remember, but surely must have been klopp?
This. 100% Ronan.
If anyone needs evidence of the intentions of one set of owners compared to another then Spurs and Liverpool during that summer 2018 shows you everything you need to know.
Anyone who still has faith that ENIC would even consider that kind of financial commitment need their own head transplant.
Levy seems to want to pay 2010 wages in 2020…
Villa fans would rightly be in uproar if they let him go in a relegation battle. Possibly in the summer but surely not this month…
That Grealish summer of 2018 was when liverpool began to seriously address their deficiencies and act decisively to overtake spurs and win stuff.
That summer was also when levy began to forge a different kind of football history with a new player abstention that finally topped out at 512 days.
For both clubs the legacy of that summer is now there for all to see.
Conquering costs money too. As Liverpool’s extra 96m a year on wages alone shows. You can’t be ‘WEAK’ with the finances either, as Levy always has been. Perhaps he’s had a brain transplant?! Yay!
Could definitely use Grealish, can be a bit wasteful but he’s an off the cuff attacking player. What Spurs should always have a bit of. Eriksen lacks swagger for me…
Message to WEAK fans. CONQUERING ain’t easy. Gonna be some tuff tuff scaffs on the journey. If you are not 100% sure you can cope you’d best turn back now. This ain’t no Joke ting. CONQUERING in not for the WEAK. COYS. The firm faithful. Come we march on. YIDZ
“Kane exit?. How man start talking $h!t so early in the morning
TOTTENHAM COME FE BLOODCLART CONQUER. mek ANY team try come test we. COYS.
How are people (levy and scouts) looking at our team and squad and thinking “our top priority is more attacking midfielder” that is quite possibly our most over subscribed position. GO GET A DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER. Or pick a right back or left back? How about a striker to cover rest of season and likely Kane exit.
