“Daniel Levy has got to…” – Levy urged to back Ange by signing Premier League duo

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham Hotspur are gearing up to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming transfer window, with significant interest in Premier League stars Conor Gallagher and Eberechi Eze.

Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara has publicly recommended the club focus on acquiring these two standout talents.

The North London outfit has shown interest in both players for several months, particularly Gallagher since last summer’s transfer window.

Tottenham even attempted to bid for Gallagher, but the deal did not materialise.

However, the club is expected to make another effort to secure the central midfielder this summer. Gallagher, who is in the final year of his contract at Chelsea, is likely to leave Stamford Bridge with no extension in sight.

Simultaneously, Spurs’ interest in Crystal Palace’s attacking midfielder Eze has been consistent for months.

Tottenham have gone as far as inviting Eze’s representatives to attend several of their Premier League games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last season.

In a conversation with Sky Sports News, Jamie O’Hara expressed his optimism about the club’s future under manager Ange Postecoglou.

He stressed the importance of Daniel Levy investing in quality signings, specifically advocating for the acquisition of Premier League talents like Eze and Gallagher.

O’Hara claimed that these additions could significantly bolster the squad, enhance depth, and improve Tottenham’s chances of securing a top-four finish and competing for silverware.

“I think next season, I’m excited for Spurs. Daniel Levy has got to sign some decent players, we know that. The squad players aren’t good enough and you need to keep trying to shift them aside and I think Ange is trying to do that. We have got some exciting young players coming through but if we can also add some top players.”

“I think we should try and get Eze, try and get Conor Gallagher from Chelsea, players who are doing it in the Premier League and I think if you add them to the squad then I think top four and try to win a trophy.”

As Tottenham prepare for the transfer window, the club remains focused on making acquisitions that align with their long-term goals and ambitions.

The potential additions of Gallagher and Eze would not only strengthen their midfield options but also add proven Premier League quality to their ranks, providing a solid foundation for the club’s pursuit of success next season.
