In a Q&A for his Daily Mail column, Peter Crouch was asked who would win in a 5-a-side match pitting his former teammates from Tottenham against those from Liverpool.
These were the teams that Crouchie came up with; Jermain Defoe finding himself in the all-too familiar position of being on the bench, even if his good mate is the gaffer.

Who wins ?
Crouch’s Liverpool side is stacked with some of the club’s most celebrated modern-day players, and yet the 39-year-old reckons that his Spurs quintet would just have the edge.
He told the Daily Mail: “That would be an epic showdown and I’d pay good money to watch it. I actually think Tottenham would be favourites, as you’d struggle to get the ball off them. I’m going to duck making a decision on who wins and I’d love to hear from readers who they think would come out on top and what the score would be.”
I must admit, on first glance I thought the Liverpool team looked stronger. But the more I think about it, the more I’m on Crouchy’s level (for the first time ever, considering I’m 5ft8*)
*And a half.
Gomes and his long arms would be virtually unbreachable in 5-a-side goals. With limited space to run in behind, Ledley would mark Torres out of the game and Luka, Bale and Van Der Vaart would run rings around the immobile Alonso and Carragher.
Easy.
Tottenham team would slap up that other team all day long
