COVID-19 Wreaks Havoc But Spurs’ Europa Game Against Ludogorets Will Go Ahead

By The Boy -

The British government has just announced that Premier League sides (and other sporting organizations) could be allowed to admit up to 4,000 spectators in the coming weeks. Whilst the kindest way of describing this would be as ‘a step in the right direction’, I take a view that the reality of these games will be people enjoying an atmosphere somewhere between a village cricket match and the queue for the gents one might experience in a provincial theatre during an interval.

4,000 fans in a 62,000 capacity stadium is going to be challenging on a number of levels and given the effects that the pandemic has wrought on society, the crow id likely to consist of corporates and a smattering of millennials.

The latest Covidiocy™ to have emerged is that our opponents tomorrow night are being forced to play after their squad has tipped upside down by the virus. Olivier Verdon and Georgi Terzievhave tested positive for coronavirus, and due to the infection, it is still remains unclear which players will be available to coach Genchev.

The situation has been so bad according to native outlet SportLIVE, Ludogorets’ domestic matches with Sportist and against Botev in the championship had been postponed.

In conclusion, a side that has been handicapped, even before a ball has been kicked, and Spurs are of course, are also without Matt Doherty, who tested positive whilst on international duty.

I don’t just come out with this stuff, I just research a little deeper. If you want to tow the line of this hopeless government that’s your business. They keep giving ‘gifts’ and people like yourself accept them and don’t question the utter incompetence of it all. That’s why they get away with it, because of sheep…

Keep the vulnerable groups out of the stadiums and job done.

In fact protecting the vulnerable groups and letting infections go up a bit of it means helping the economy should be the strategy generally. When it started we weren’t so clear about who it affected, now we know.

It’s quite simple, protection of the vulnerable, the eventual vaccine and heard immunity is the way out of this. By stopping infections to the non vulnerable population is only keeping this thing around longer. We are stopping it peaking by trying to contain it across the whole population.

Backed up by science too, we are run by cowards and sheep. Sweden got it right, in a few years we will learn how right they got it and how wrong we did. ‘Excess’ long term deaths from the 3 months halt of NHS treatment was close to mass murder. It will be proven…

Young fit athletes fair enough.. Older fans and people who are vulnerable, or who will be in contact with them shouldnt be going. Problem is there are idiots who dont stick to the rules… This is far more deadly than a nasty flu. Look at the stats.. It’s not about footballers getting on with their jobs. Its about the fans. Thousands of people…. Herd immunity did you mean? Herd immunity is achieved by protecting people from the virus, not by exposing them to it! You are the gift that keeps on giving.

They’re young fit athletes, take precautions but let them get on with it. Even a few more infections can be dealt with within that environment. Besides the vaccine isn’t far… this ‘Project Fear’ stuff needs to stop.

It’s a nasty flu that badly affects a tiny minority of which we now have vaccine vaccines for. Footballers can get on with their jobs, end of story.

Time to let Heard Immunity take affect and stop f*cking about…

Plus no shouting or cheering on top of no alcohol being allowed.Might as well take your sleeping bag.
You’ll probably need a certificate to prove you tested negative for the virus at least twice in the week preceeding the game.

What’s the point?

Whats being missed here – you can be contagious and test negative for up to 4 days (may even be longer). So who is to say that any player on that team that is picked are safe to play? Add to that The Spurs players will then test negative before he weekend game…

European and International games should have been stopped this season. Its a pure money grab.

As for the 4k into the stadium, that is going to be so hard to police who goes where and does what. Plus how do you do food and drinks (guess you dont) – is it really worth it?
