Spurs are offering Danny Rose a new deal.

The Harry Hotspur blog understands from a source close to the club that terms have been agreed, and all that remains is for the Doncaster born boy to sign on the dotted line.

Rose has a torrid time of it of late, arguably much of it self-inflicted.

Whilst mental health is no laughing matter, one can’t help but wonder if Danny had spent less time providing us with a running commentary, and more time playing exciting football, life could have been easier.

The suggestion is that Rose is currently welcome to leave, should a attractive mega-deal come in from the right sort of club, however Tottenham are sensitive to the lad’s situation and don’t see the club’s best interests and that of the players as being mutually exclusive.

Rose has irritated me in recent seasons. Far too much pity me and not enough brain engaging. The departure of Kyle Walker obviously stung, but ‘opening his heart’ to The Sun was plain daft.

Both Poch and Levy think a lot of Danny and it is hoped whatever transpires for the 29-year-old does the trick for him.

Never understood the trials and tribulations of the ever troubled Danny Rose, take off those tinted glasses and sign like your top professional team mates have done , or do one for everyone’s sake.

England’s other rose. If he does commit pen to paper would it then be reasonable to infer that the Bald Avenger is going to wait until Sessengnon’s contract expires next year to get him on a free?

  • GiveItSomeWelly July 9, 2019 at 11:34 am

Can’t see us signing Sessegnon if Danny and Ben are signing new contracts, there are more important areas to address than LB – like RB if Tripps is really leaving and Serge is only real remaining wing back on the right. I think Aurier will get better with time, he’s a good crosser of the ball already, but like his predecessor Walker is prone to the odd brain fart. Tripps puzzles me, and how much of his loss of form last season was down to the world cup I don’t know, but he wasn’t alone in that.
I’m happy if Danny stays because it would be hard to improve on him at the moment. Ben is also solid and a good pro. Poch obviously rates the pair of them which is good enough for me. The Sessegnon interest is largely media driven I reckon.

Hopefully true. That rumour he was surplus to requirements made no sense.

Is Gascoigne gonna have a crack?

Absolutely agree. When I watch this video I feel physically sick. ENICs 6.50 per hourers are in the comments too…..
This is NOT a football ground. RIP THFC. The “custodian” has done us.

Spurs not ENIC are paying for that NFL facility which buy the looks of it would’ve made the stadium at least 150-200m over spend…..
To make this palatable he needs to get in at least another 120-150m worth of players, regardless of who he sells….

You’re absolutely right it is the football club that is paying for all this, hence the mega debt.I only watched about 30 seconds of the video, they can shove NFL where the sun doesn’t shine. That changing area is bigger than the pitch.
Watch all this PR shit being drip fed to the dumb dumbs. Our team is being reduced to a bit part in this drama.ENIC have no interest in the football team and we have probably seen the sum total of new arrivals, leaving a threadbare squad to run on empty.

*Lilywhite. Yes its all on the clubs neck. I doubt another one player will come in. Lewis and Levy have used THFC to prop up their filthy regen NFL nightmare.

2 year late Moose replacement is enough for the halloumi munchers. Books will be balanced and Levy will be blagging another season. Arsenal and Chelsea are still dodgey, other than City and Liverpool who’s giving anyone problems? Sheffield Utd?
Prems a joke. Chairman’s a joke. ENIC fc are coasting all the way to the bank.

Its a perplexing to me anyone’s buys tickets for space bowl 3000. #retina scan 2022.

I think Danny running off his mouth is part of his Anxiety depression issues
Even MP commented on him worrying to much about things that don’t concern him!
Hope he stays, his interview was wrong but he was saying what we were all thinking at the time.

Apparently he is oppressed, what with his millions and stuff

Hang on, this is all the same old tactics yet again. Let’s start with rose. He was top of the list of players out at the weekend, by Monday night he’s offered a contract. Now people may say I’m being cynical, but I wonder how much of it is because he’s perceived as being as mad as a box of frogs and therefore unsellable???? Next we see Davies and winks get new deals. Reading between the lines I’d say that’s the end of the sessegnon interest. Why? Keeping 2 that are arguably decent but no better will be the cheaper option. All the ceballos is a done deal has gone quiet. Lo celso ain’t gonna happen at very earliest until we out the Danish one. We offer Toby as part of the deal to roma? Has anyone bothered to ask if Toby wants to go to Rome?? He’s not obliged to at all, so that’s another pile of Bollox, and the more you look it is the same tactics as every other summer. Distract the masses, he’s still got a kit launch to take some people’s eyes off the main event until he gets them to America and away for a while. Then we come onto the dumb dumbs. We’ll arsenal ain’t signed anyone. Haha. I don’t give a toss about the wankers til we play them, and quite how what they do has any bearing on what we do, baffles me. Bottom lineis a squad that lost 20 games last season, hasn’t got as many players as last year, granted Ndombele looks quality, but he ain’t gonna do it on his own, and we are getting closer and closer to kick off, with one addition to a threadbare squad. Ffs the rent boys are on a transfer ban and got more in than us

  • Benji July 9, 2019 at 4:06 am

Don’t despair yiddo, we got lb covered old boy

  • Benji July 9, 2019 at 4:04 am

We should all be getting behind Danny, he’s fecking quality.

  • Neil July 9, 2019 at 12:52 am

“providing us with a running commentary” still mental health is so misunderstood part of the “commentary” is part of the mental health. There where not many that put in more of a shift in my opinion than Rose. Please don’t pity him look a lot closer to home than that.

  • TobyJanKaneobi July 8, 2019 at 11:46 pm

Have always been a big fan of Danny. Even in his early years he never lacked desire, hunger or fight on the pitch.

  • Urbane Sturgeon July 8, 2019 at 11:25 pm

I like Danny Rose. Hope he signs and gets a pay rise.

  • Cabspur July 8, 2019 at 11:20 pm

Has had his shit going the last few seasons plus injuries but in the last 3 months of this season showed some of the old form of 3 seasons ago.
Personally happy ,if true it looks like left back stays the same for us and hopefully means we press for improvements on the opposite flank.

  • Is Gascoigne gonna have a crack? July 8, 2019 at 10:34 pm

So Davies gets a contract….now Rose. Hmmmm, nobody else is coming in are they…..?

    Yeeeeeahsigh…

  • Garbonza July 8, 2019 at 10:21 pm

Danny should remain Spurs’ number one left back and if Sessegnon happens to arrive the young apprentice should go on the wing.

  • Spurredon July 8, 2019 at 10:03 pm

He’s going no where. Winks good squad not, Davies will polish Roses boots for the year. Bye bye Christian and thanks for the memories. Need another STRIKER!!

  • Christopher Newby July 8, 2019 at 9:44 pm

Along with Sissoko he was our best player for the last couple of months last season. Played with passion, strength and we were a better team with him in the eleven.
Some of our players on better money, no more Wembley and a fit pair of Harry’s along with the animal that is Ndombele… Its fair to say I’m excited and hopeful for the season ahead. We could really challenge

  • Lilywhite withtout the II July 8, 2019 at 9:38 pm

I WANT new players and I want them NOW!……………………….please

  • Killer Cushion July 8, 2019 at 9:29 pm

Thats great news. I hope he stays too. Our longest servant now danny boy may lack the brains, but he more than makes up for that with heart and desire… If only the likes of erikson and dele battled like him in that final then we may have stood a chance.. Still needs to practise his crossing, but rose is a warrior… Still englands best left back. Still our best too

  • Mattspurs July 8, 2019 at 9:23 pm

Most of his problems seemed to stem from being injured and sitting around doing too much thinking

  • Andy July 8, 2019 at 9:21 pm

A committed and passionate player, who doesn’t go missing like Dele Alli and Eriksen.

The thing that lets him down is his poor crossing. Spurs would be better off letting him go and finding a new left back, who can defend, has pace and the ability to cross the ball.

  • Campo July 8, 2019 at 9:14 pm

I like Danny, runs off at the mouth too much, but think his heart is in the right place
    Hope he stays

  • Tanya Dexter July 8, 2019 at 9:08 pm

I hope he does stay. He is better than Davis.
The Sessegnon deal is very quiet, and even if he does arrive then great, the more competition for the left back berth the better.
