Conte travels to Forest minus a key Paratici signing

By The Boy -

I think it’s great to see one of English football’s great names back in the top flight, although with some 19 transfers recently brought in it has left me sensing echoes of Roy Keane’s time at Sunderland.

The proof will be in the pudding, as they say, so we will have to wait in order to see if the newly promoted side will flourish …or otherwise.

Nottingham Forest will be satisfied with their current tenth-placed position and boss Steve Cooper will be looking not to falter against the bigger sides.

Spurs will be missing Cristian Romero and Oliver Skipp, who are both tipped to return to training next week. In respect of the absence of Romero, Antonio Conte told the press.

“Cuti’s recovery is going very well. I think at the start of next week [he will] start to have the training session with the rest of the team, but for this game, [he is] not available.”

Minus the Argentinian, famously sourced by Daniel Levy’s Director of Football, Tottenham’s backline is a distinctly weakened prospect, as Davinson Sanchez demonstrated against Wolves, dangerously losing possession on far too many occasions.

Looking at the Bournemouth squad I don’t think there’s much he can do. Danny Rose had to google most of their players. I wouldn’t write off Parker just yet, he might jump ship to Everton once Fat Frank is sacked. Could be any day

Agreed about Parker, he hasn’t the experience or tactical know-how at the moment, but Graham Potter was ridiculed by many when Jose left. I still like the look of him. Imagine what he could achieve with better players? Someone, with more money than Brighton, will have to give him a go at some point.

The glamour of the games there is an age certain fans like certain names in the top league.
But reality has to kick in, but like those fans who were clamouring for Scott Parker to be our manager
