Conte Could Yet Be In Spurs’ Dressing Room For West Ham Clash

By The Boy -

Tottenham gaffer Antonio Conte has, like very many of us who have endured medical procedures, allowed the feelings of post-surgery relief to blur his common sense, and come back too soon.

It’s a common reaction and one which reflects the positive way that very many humans react to being sidelined by surgery. In Antonio’s case, this has resulted in a return to Turin, and a period of meaningful recovery time, surrounded by the appropriate medical assistants as well as friends and family.

Much has been made by the Hotspur Way press pack about the difference having Cristian Stellini in charge might make. But according to The Sun, it might well be the case that Antonio could still make his voice heard during Sunday’s massive London derby. Journalist Rob Maul believes that Conte may even use the Zoom system to personally deliver a tea talk, even though he’s in a different country.

This big match against Spurs with our bubble-blowing East London neighbours is held in lesser regard by some, but Antonio Conte will understand the real importance of tomorrow. Beyond rivalry, today’s games saw Fulham go within a point of Tottenham, which potentially threatens ENIC’s top-four money.

West Ham gaffer David Moyes will welcome whatever confusion comes Tottenham’s way with open arms. The Scot will be hoping to revisit his 2017/18 magic which saw the former Everton boss manage to steer the Hammers out of the relegation zone, in what was his first season at the club.

Spurs will need all the luck they can muster too.
