Tottenham Hotspur are showing interest in bolstering their attacking options with Porto striker Mehdi Taremi.
According to renowned journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the London club is in contact with Porto through agent Jorge Mendes to negotiate a potential transfer.
Taremi’s impressive performances last season, with 22 goals and 8 assists in 33 league appearances, have caught the attention of Spurs.
Additionally, his contribution of 5 goals and 2 assists in 7 Champions League matches has further solidified his reputation as a prolific forward.
Meanwhile Tottenham’s star striker Harry Kane’s future is uncertain amid heavy links to Bayern Munich.
Today, Bayern reportedly made their fourth and final bid for Kane, offering €100 million plus add-ons for the English striker.
The German club has set a deadline for Tottenham to make a decision by 12 am tonight regarding whether they will accept the offer or not.
Should Spurs reject the bid, Bayern are not expected to come back with another offer.
As the situation with Kane unfolds, Tottenham are actively exploring alternatives in the transfer market, with Mehdi Taremi being the latest target.
The Italian journalist reports that while Spurs are ready to offer €24 million for the Porto striker, the Portuguese club is holding out for €30 million.
