“Contacts are in progress” – Journalist confirms contacts have been initiated to sign attacker ‘as early as January’

According to the latest, Tottenham have now made contacts to sign Juventus winger Samuel Iling-Junior.

Multiple reports have linked the winger to a move to North London during the upcoming transfer window.

Calciomercato journalist Daniele Longo reported last week that Tottenham will make an attempt for the winger in January.

And he has now shared an update on their pursuit, claiming that Spurs have already made contacts with Juventus over a possible move.

He adds that the player can join Spurs as early as January.

He shared the update on X (translated below):

“Confirmations on our anticipation, Iling-Junior can go to Tottenham as early as January. Contacts in progress”

Juventus are reportedly keen on offloading the 20-year-old to secure funds for another midfielder.

The Serie A giants are seeking a transfer fee ranging between €15-20 million, an amount deemed affordable by Tottenham as they look to bolster their squad.

Tottenham’s urgency for reinforcements stems from their ongoing injury crisis, notably the extended absences of Solomon and Perisic, coupled with Richarlison’s struggles on and off the pitch.

A left-sided attacking player is said to be one of the priorities for the club, and Iling-Junior’s versatility could provide the needed depth.

The young winger, eyeing more consistent playing time, is also reportedly eager for a move away from Juventus.

He may turn out to be decent addition to the squad, specially considering that Spurs will be able to secure his services at a reasonable price in what otherwise is a tough market.
