Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon is closing on a move to Premier League rivals Brentford.
Manchester United cut short his loan deal and sent him back to Spurs in January who were looking to send him out on loan again.
He was previously linked with Borussia Dortmund and AS Roma, but Brentford emerges as the strongest contenders.
And now the move is close to completion as confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano who has given the deal his trademark ‘here we go’.
As per his update, the green light for the deal given after verbal agreement between the two clubs. It is purely loan deal with no option to buy clause. Medical is scheduled for Wednesday before the signing is announced.
He shared the update on X:

He becomes the latest to leave the club this window, after Hugo Lloris and Eric Dier. Spurs are also said to be keen on moving Ryan Sessegnon and Bryan Gil, with recent reports suggesting they are ready to listen to offers for them.
Spurs have been busy in the transfer window, having already signed two. It is suggested that they want a midfielder too, but after they sort out the outgoings.
