Club director working to ‘find a new solution’ to sign €28m-rated Tottenham player

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is currently on loan at Italian club Napoli.

The Italian outfit have the option to sign the player permanently for a fee of around €28 million at the end of the season.

A report from Calcio Napoli 24 claims that the 26-year-old French midfielder is set to return to the Premier League club at the end of the season and Napoli are unlikely to activate the pre-agreed deal with Tottenham to sign the player permanently.

However, the Italian outfit still remain keen on signing him permanently but they want him for a reduced fee. Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is reportedly looking to ‘find a new solution’ to bring the player back to the club next year. It remains to be seen whether they can agree on a deal with Tottenham for a discounted price.

The 26-year-old has started just 6 league games for Napoli this season and he is set to contemplate his future at the end of the season. His return to the Italian club is not guaranteed by any means and the player will seek more game time before he decides to return to Napoli next year.

It remains to be seen whether Napoli are prepared to accept his demands and give him game-time assurances for the upcoming season.

Ndombele has been a largely underwhelming signing for Tottenham and they will look to cash in on him permanently at the end of the season it is evident that he has no future at the London club and it remains to be seen where he ends up.
