‘Clever’ Tottenham star hailed for making ‘impossible situations look actually possible’

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur signed James Maddison from Leicester City at the start of the season.

The 26-year-old England international has been a quality player for the North London club and he has transformed them in the attack. Maddison has created numerous scoring opportunities for his teammates and helped Spurs break down deep defences with his vision and creativity.

Janusz Michallik has now revealed on ESPN that the Tottenham vice-captain has the ability to make impossible things possible on the pitch. There is no doubt that the England international has an x-factor in his game and he has certainly improved Tottenham immensely.

“I think James Maddison is such a clever player. I almost think he’s one of those players that loves to thread that pass more than even scoring goals. He makes impossible situations look actually possible. A perfect fit, as he’s shown,” he told ESPN.

However, the player is currently sidelined with an injury and Tottenham will hope that he can return to action soon. The North London side started the Premier League season in outstanding form but they have now lost three league games in a row.

A number of injury problems have led to their decline in form and it remains to be seen whether Ange Postecoglou can get his side firing on all cylinders again.

Tottenham hope to return to the UEFA Champions League at the end of the season, and players like James Maddison will be crucial to their quest for European qualification. It will be interesting to see if he can return to action soon and help his side finish the season strongly.

Tottenham have missed a technically gifted, creative midfielder like him in the final third since the departure of Christian Eriksen and it is no surprise that he has been a game-changer for them this season.
