Modern footballers certainly don’t get it all their way. When they are at the top of their game, they are praised by their supporters and derided by their dementors. If they suffer a run of bad form, everybody queues up to take a swipe. Harry Kane spoke to the press ahead of yet another England game against the mighty Albania.
Kane’s dip in form, combined with months of speculation in respect of a transfer to Manchester City which obviously never happened, created a scenario whereby this was Kane’s first obligation to speak publicly. The reaction from most, opting to leave a comment on this Mail Online coverage, was unsympathetic.
I take a view that in all fairness to Kane, no Spurs players have flourished against the background of a club – yet again – in a state of complete flux. Mourinho was replaced by a coach who only achieved relegation form, was sacked after 10 games. We now have Conte at the wheel, who to date has enforced a zero tolerance on condiments.
Kane says the recent past has taken its toll. On you too, eh?
Whoever downvoted that, step up and show yourself. So we can all see what a shameless ENIC/Levy apologist actually has to say for themselves. Hiding behind downvotes shows that you’ve nothing to offer…
Kane hit three in first half of today’s International romp. Don’t write the lad off.
I hope the boy is boosted by his England hat-rick and come back to us with a bit of form. Lay off the lad, he’s the best of our bad bunch…
Kane’s frustrations mirror the fan’s frustrations. Why any fan with an ounce of common sense would turn on Kane at this juncture is completely beyond me. He’s not the schmuck in all this…
You might not be impressed with his persona, however, have you been impressed with the way the team has declined and the by the way the club has been run? That’s probably the starting point.
Managers, players etc always made to look bad when the real failings are systemic and filter down from upstairs…🤔
I’m not blaming HK for anything. Im
merely pointing out his love affair with Spurs is over. You could see through his movement and body language tonight that it was a relief to be getting proper service with players committed to winning.
Fair enough. But I can’t find it in me to blame him. He’s been here all his career and saw “project” after project go down the drain, always due to one person.
He’s a bit heartbroken and the boo boys didn’t really help, turning on our best player in recent years within a few games. But he’s still got it in him.
The question is – does he really want to stay here now that we’ve got Conte? Many people seem to think so, but I remain unconvinced; Levy would have to change his entire MO to make this a success. Otherwise, AC will be just another on a long list of managerial failures at Spurs.
He is playing with better players for his country and in many cases inferior opposition. That notwithstanding his quality is evident as shown by his third goal tonight
Not denying the service. It’s his body language and movement that’s so different. He wants to play for England
The carthorse put in three and assisted one. Makes you think what he could do if we gave him the ball in the final third at Spurs, eh?
injury prone, unmotivated, absolute disgrace cart horse scores perfect hat trick in 45 mins…..maybe its us
Watching Kane in an England shirt is a very different experience to watching him in ours.
If proof were needed HK is no longer a Spurs player
Brilliant. Made me smile this morning!
Once Harry signed the contract, with another management company not his brother, he was in effect in a straitjacket. It’s fair to say he could not have envisaged how Levy’s fu.k up of a stadium build would lead to a self enforced transfer embargo. The message from Levy was that the move was a game changer well because of his incompetence it certainly was but not for the reasons he thought.
Common belief is when it all went pear shaped he went to Levy to ask for a way out. Because he loves the club he chose to do in the most amicable manner rather than those previously, who had no allegiance to the club, who forced their way out. Levy I assume asked for one more season, probably played the COVID card, and Harry agreed perhaps reluctantly. I empathise with him because in all honesty I see him a good natured, intelligent, despite your suggestions, honest guy dealing with a guy who is in truth a piece of s.it.
Kane has been superb for us so I will always be grateful for that. However his cack handed attempt to force a transfer sticks in the throat. One thing I must say is that the suggestion that Daniel Levy promised him a move is obviously nonsense.
He’s now saying losing the Euro final will live with him for ever so he can add that to the Champions League final memories.
He has now become a distraction and if he goes we can move on.
Kane’s firm is down to one man. A man whom lurks in the shadows and knows little to nothing about running a successful football club.
I cant say his name it irks me to the point of self harm knowing how inept he is.
I should think that when that figure was revealed publicly today that Levy’s sphincter underwent a sharp tightening.
Nothing to worry about guys… According to FFP we have 400 million to spend so we will spend some money in January…. Right… Right????
On this comment I actually sympathise, I don’t subscribe to this “he earns so much money he should be motivated” theory, which is unrealistic coz if everyone in your bubble is earning silly money it loses its meaning.
Personally, if I was one of the world’s top strikers and wanted to get out of spurs for Man City and then Spurs hired Nuno Espirito Santo, I think I’d be pretty bloody demotivated as well.
But now we have Conte it’s buck up or shut up time.
Always happens on the mail online, often northerners and scousers still upset from the 2.2 draw from a few years ago, Kane is England captain over Henderson or some other petty thing.
a very simple , truthful analysis of Harry Kane and the debt he owes Tottenham- NOTHING.
Have you forgotten the joy he’s brought watching him the last 8 or 10 years ? A wonderful example and I am proud when I see him lead out our national team , he leaves a lump in my throat [ very similar to those Bobby Moore days] . I love him and always will . He deseves some rewards for club or country , I’m sure he’d take either , but both would be nice !! Be honest , to just once see Harry lifting a trophy in a Spurs shirt would be truly a heart-warming picture . Return to form asap Harry , we need you more than ever — COYS
Let’s hope so……although I can’t really say I’ve been super impressed with HK persona these last few months.
I get he’s pis*ed with Danny boy and totally get why, just wished he got his head down and gave his best…..which clearly he hasn’t done so far.
Hopefully his mojo will return under Conte. Would be a great shame on his legacy he has built.
All I want is for players to give everything every game, leave everything on the pitch.
The anti-Kane agenda suits Levy, which is why I have no interest in it…
Cart Horse… 😂 😂 😂
Retards, Chavs, Gooners, Spammers.
Form is temporary, class is permanent. These same so called fans will soon be singing “he’s one of our own” again.
These eejits ( appears they base their values on money = happy) should go back and read Poch’s comments on the eve of the Champs league final. The malaise was apparent and already spreading.
ck66 co uk – his brother’s baphomet coded company. sick
Kane wanted to leave Spurs the season before last and his misfortunes had nothing to do with Mourinho’s sacking. He’d seen the decline of the club and knew that Jose was not going to turn the ship around. It’s widely accepted that he was only persuaded to play on, last season, when he received his famous gentleman’s agreement with Levy, which apparently turned out to be a hollow gesture.
To a degree I can empathise with Kane a guy whose goal scoring achievements should have been accompanied by footballing honours, which I am sure is apparent when he turns up for a England duty and sees colleagues and some ex teammates ,with far less talent, who have enjoyed great success elsewhere.
I hope we have not seen the best of Harry and that his loss of form is temporary.
The f–king id-ots slating Kane should give back all the oxygen they’ve stolen from more deserving people. My only hope is that the majority of Spurs fans is not so mind-bogglingly stupid.
Kane, Son, PEH, Lloris, and possibly Skipp and Moura are the only professionals in our squad who can be counted on to do their best, while the others sat on their haunches waiting for the current guy to get canned. They did that to Poch, Jose, and Nuno. But we lambast Kane? Why not criticise everybody else who was not particularly motivated by Nuno the mime artist?
Just last season, under the horrible Portuguese, a season in which we struggled and only finished 7th by the skin of our teeth, Kane was the best goalscorer AND provider IN THE LEAGUE. He and Son single-handedly kept us afloat, while no one else really bothered to turn up (save PEH). Without them, we’d be playing Cardiff in the Championship this season.
I would urge people to have a good think before spouting rubbish about the best attacker in England. FFS.
Kane just needed a coach who can inspire him again. It still defies logic that Levy thought appointing Nuno would pacify the club’s greatest asset Truly one of the most ludicrous appointments in PL history. As for the bums slating Kane online, even they would be astonished that anyone considered their insights worthy of an article.
Levy is not Harry`s agent is he ???
No not really. Levy is a manipulative control freak who knew he was in talks with a not very intelligent human being who has for his agent none other than his brother.
First thing for you Harry is to appoint a top agent and get your brother back on driving duties.
I am not sure how many more articles can be written on the same subject, Levy was doomed if he did and doomed if he didn
t as you
well know
If we sell, here we go Spurs are a selling club, never gonna improve,
if we dont Kane is a donkey we should have sold him, Levy being greedy again it
s all getting very tedious and boring don
t you think
