Bundesliga ace wanted by Tottenham but they face competition from Premier League rivals

By Bruce Grove -

Bayer Leverkusen forward Leon Bailey is the subject of transfer interest from Tottenham this summer according to a report from Sports1 via Bulinews.

The Jamaican has long been tipped to make a move to the Premier League, and he has also flirted with the idea of playing in England’s top flight by claiming that it will be a dream come true for him to play in the competition.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for a number of players as they look to add some new names to their roster, and Bailey might become their latest winger.

Son Heung-min is Spurs’ most important winger at the moment, with the likes of Lucas Moura struggling to add goals and assists to their games.

Bailey didn’t have the most prolific season in the just-concluded Bundesliga campaign, but he is still just 22 and he will only get better with time and working with Jose Mourinho might make him a deadlier player.

Spurs are not the only English team looking to sign him, the report claims that Everton is another English side that wants him and that the representatives of both teams will watch him when Bayer Leverkusen take on Rangers in the return leg of their Europa League match this week.

He speaks the lingo very well from what I have read and heard. ZZ doesn’t like him, never has, it’s the only reason he’s not playing. Now their scumbag fans whistle him down when he does take the field. Who else is going to pay those wages and where is he going to go? As for his team mates they still seem to like him if Casemiro and twitter is to be believed.

Mind you I gave raunchy Normal People a miss from the start and that series proved to be a sensational hit. Hey ho!

Digressing onto other things, the BBC have produced some recent superb dramas over the years – Bodyguard, The Jeremy Thorpe scandal (portrayed by the superb Hugh Grant giving IMO his best performance to date which deserved to win a BAFTA) and my favourite Line of Duty of Duty but sinking this eve to the depths of obscene debauchery in HARLOTS – Really??

Harry, they are reporting Bailey’s price as 85 million. Why even bother posting this?

Yet another link going from the sublime to the rediculous!

Facing Man City on Friday eve,it’s sad to see the demise of wasted talent Gareth Bale omitted from Real Madrids 24 man squad altogether for the return leg. Not helped by the fact that Bale has alienated himself amongst manager and fans alike by his bizarre behaviour preferring to focus on golf rather than learn the lingo (which IMO he has seemingly badly neglected, incumbent on any foreign player to make an effort to at least try and learn the language) he has gone from hero to zero!!, but won trophies!!
