Tottenham Hotspur have been urged to consider Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford as a marquee signing for the upcoming transfer window.

The 27-year-old England international recently raised eyebrows after being excluded from Manchester United’s matchday squad for the Premier League clash against Manchester City. This decision by new manager Ruben Amorim, coupled with Rashford’s public comments about seeking a new challenge, has intensified speculation regarding his future at Old Trafford.

Former Spurs scout Bryan King believes this is an opportunity for Tottenham to seize. King views Rashford as a player of exceptional quality who could elevate Spurs’ competitiveness in the Premier League.

The pundit stressed that signing players of Rashford’s calibre is essential if the Lilywhites are to challenge for major titles, even if it requires significant financial investment.
Speaking to Tottenham News, King remarked:

“What about Tottenham making a move for Rashford?

“If they want to win anything, these are the kind of players they should be signing, which means they will need to spend big money. However, how often do you get a Rashford available?

“When his attitude is right, he can improve any team in the Premier League, including Tottenham.”

Despite the uncertainties surrounding his future, Rashford has been in strong form this season, particularly since Amorim took charge.

The forward has netted three goals in his last four league appearances, bringing his season tally to seven goals and three assists across 24 matches in all competitions, taking his overall tally for Manchester United to 138 goals. His versatility and extensive Premier League experience make him a natural fit for Ange Postecoglou’s attacking system. (Transfermarkt)

While Postecoglou has downplayed the possibility of pursuing Rashford, emphasising his focus on managing his current squad, the addition of a player with Rashford’s attributes could align perfectly with the Australian’s tactical philosophy.

Rashford remains under contract with Manchester United until 2028, with a market valuation of €55 million.

While securing his signature would represent a significant outlay for Spurs, his availability offers a rare chance to strengthen their squad with a proven game-changer.

As Tottenham look to bolster their squad during a challenging season, bringing Rashford into the fold could inject the attacking firepower needed to push for success on both domestic and European fronts.
