Tottenham Hotspur find themselves with a chance to reunite with the club’s former key executive figure.

Fabio Paratici, the club’s ex-managing director of football, will be free to resume official duties this summer, with his 30-month FIFA-imposed ban expiring in June.

The suspension stemmed from alleged financial irregularities during his time at Juventus, but with that chapter closing, attention is turning to what’s next for the Italian executive.

Although AC Milan appeared to be the frontrunners for his services, negotiations seem to have stalled, potentially paving the way for Spurs to re-enter the conversation, amid previous reports suggesting Levy has already met him.

Bryan King: Fabio Paratici wants to join Tottenham

According to former Spurs scout Bryan King, Paratici would likely be open to a return to North London—suggesting the club should act now if they’re serious about bringing him back.

Speaking to Tottenham News, King said:

“Tottenham should make him an offer that will stop him from thinking about AC Milan.

“I don’t think Spurs’ offer or interest is that favourable, not like the way it has been reported. If Levy wants him, Spurs will go out and make an offer. However, that seems to have stalled in some shape and form, which allowed AC Milan to move in.

“He is itallian, that would be a very good job for him. However, I imagine he would like to go back to Tottenham. Where are the people making these decisions? Why isn’t there something in place to entice him to come?”

Paratici’s football roots trace back to Sampdoria, where he carved a reputation as head of scouting. His rise continued alongside Giuseppe Marotta, with the pair moving to Juventus in 2010. There, Paratici helped build one of Italy’s most dominant sides, assembling a squad that won nine consecutive Serie A titles and competed in two Champions League finals.

At Tottenham, Paratici arrived in 2021 and immediately took charge of a squad overhaul. He navigated a lengthy managerial search and eventually brought in Antonio Conte. On the transfer front, he made some influential additions—Rodrigo Bentancur, Dejan Kulusevski, and Cristian Romero among them—that helped propel Spurs back into the Champions League.

His tenure was cut short in 2023 due to the global ban, but with that set to end, the timing could be perfect for his return.

For Daniel Levy and the Spurs board, it’s a real opportunity to bring back an experienced operator who understands the club and could provide much-needed direction heading into next season.
