Tottenham Hotspur’s season continues to be marred by issues both on and off the pitch, with internal unrest now adding fuel to an already challenging campaign.

Manager Ange Postecoglou recently revealed his growing concern over a persistent leak from within the club, suggesting someone inside Spurs is regularly releasing confidential information, including injury news and tactical details.

The situation has reportedly been under investigation for some time, but Postecoglou’s latest comments suggest the problem is more serious than initially believed.

His remarks have sparked speculation that chairman Daniel Levy may take action if the source is identified.

Bryan King calls for Tottenham to sack leak

Former Spurs scout Bryan King has weighed in on the matter, stating that while leaks have long existed in football, the individual responsible must face consequences if found.

King acknowledged that results on the pitch should be the primary focus, but stressed that maintaining internal trust and unity is just as crucial.

According to him, a dismissal, fine, or suspension could be on the cards depending on the severity of the breach.

Speaking to Tottenham News, King commented:

“There have always been leaks at football clubs, even when I was playing.

“This is nothing new. I think there are more important things to worry about than this leak, results need to improve if Spurs are going to improve their league position or reach the final of the Europa League.

“Postecoglou should be more worried about how the team is performing. However, if there is a leak, then obviously that person needs to be sorted out. That could mean dismissal, or perhaps a fine or suspension. Whoever it is, they better watch out.

“If this is as serious as Postecoglou says it is, then the person could be sacked by Levy. It isn’t nice to have a leak within the football club, and the best way to solve it would be to remove them.”

The leak drama comes at a delicate time for Postecoglou, who is under increasing pressure to deliver results. While Spurs remain in the hunt for European silverware, their domestic form has been inconsistent.

The 1–1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals was another missed opportunity. Despite dominating much of the game, including hitting the woodwork twice and edging the xG and possession, Spurs couldn’t convert that control into a decisive win.

Now, as they prepare for the second leg in Germany, Postecoglou must rally his squad while navigating internal chaos.

A strong showing in Europe could be the redemption arc he needs but sorting out the behind-the-scenes instability will be just as important for the club in the long term.
