This is bloody brilliant. Mourinho was celebrating Lloris’ penalty save on Gundogan but then when he remembered Sterling had a yellow card and Mike Dean didn’t book him for the second time for the dive, he was absolutely furious.

It’s fair comment to say that a decent chunk of the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club fanbase have struggled to take José Mourinho to their hearts. It’s understandable to a certain extent.
After all, Mauricio Pochettino may not have won anything in his five and a half years at the helm, but he was immensely likeable, and sometimes an emotional investment can be difficult to shake off.
Then there is the Portuguese’s time – specifically at Chelsea – that has also been seen as problematical. After all, it haunted Andre Villas-Boas’ term in office.
So what is this moment all about?
Jeez, Spurs fans. Open your hearts!
Family Guy & American Dad are great,”, Seth McFarlane is a very clever and funny bloke.
Can’t get into Baseball or NFL, basketball is better to play than watch I suppose, best out of the three. Ice Hockey isn’t bad either.
Playing it is what it was all about brother.. ❤ its a shame we all get too old… Or injured man i tore my acl and i think im done now will see after operation iv ruptured it so its gone i need a new one. The pain was unreal.
South park is the funniest thing ever in my opinion.. Loads of music from there too i listen to all genres going back 100 years even 😆.. As for american football it looks alright, but i dont understand rules or scoring. It looks like alot of concussions are on the cards. Head damage… Basketball is the best game they produced, i played that as a kid, its tough, takes skill, and doesn’t stop like football you have to keep sprinting. Less time to stop and breathe.

We got lucky, if we keep winning then fine. The evidence so far suggests that we won’t.
Tried it against Chavski at home ans got beat 0-2 then Liverpool 0-1 etc, we were a whisker away from getting done big time yesterday too. Ok, we might eventually get better at being defensive and boring under Jose and win more than we lose.
I can hardly contain my excitement…
The club’s identity has been sold up the river, red on the home kit for the first time in our history and now defensive football. Thanks Mr Levy. 😂
Sacramento? What’s a town in California got to do with it? Do they have a good MLS side? 😂
Jose has towed the time just as much as Poch.
In fact Poch said things like “I’m obviously not the manager, just the coach” and “we need to be brave” when discussing transfers. Diplomatically as possible as to not create an obvious rift but he made his point.
The idea that Poch was more of a ‘yes’ man than Jose is dead in the water so far…
Yes of course, but my point is you have to enjoy the big wins when they come – however they come,
Thanks Danny G !!!!!
Maybe he should have opened his mouth . The present day gagging order is working fine too, its amazing what a Payoff can achieve.
“may the happiest days of your past be the saddest days of your future” someone said that.
Tottenham will get you through this😊. Don’t let you blue fade man coz of the money Muppets. Strong proud BOLD deep blue. COYS. We’re gonna need a bigger shovels . Enough burying 😂
Artteta MAY win stuff one day. one day Sacramento will win much more😁
The team has been freshened up a bit, Poch never got that. Still had pretty much the same team after 5 seasons, an older team by then. Wasn’t backed properly.
What about the games when we battered them and also won, did you enjoy those? Like 4-1 over Liverpool at Wembley, those were the days eh…
That lot are jus funny these days. Although they might be onto something with Arteta over time…
Tappa, I’m always happy if the team in blue and white wins. I’m also very happy that we beat Citeh and I want Champions League next season, under any manager.
As you were, I was brought up with a Spurs, win lose or draw being a footballing side. It’s in the club’s DNA. Jose’s type approach was reserved for the likes of Woolwich etc and we need our identity now more than ever.
If we win big things with Jose of course he’ll win me over because winning is the point, at the end of the day.
If we don’t do that (and with ENIC’s 17th spending I have my doubts) then I’d rather us play as a team with the ball, playing football.
I don’t hate Jose at all, but I don’t warm to the man or his style of play and never have done, and I’m not alone in that.
If he wins stuff then ok, if he doesn’t then he’s just there eroding the football culture of the club…

Even Mike Dean gets a mention or three. May the odds ever be in your favour 🤣.
(Copy and paste url into your browser as I don’t know how to create a hyperlink in the blog post).
Nothing to do with having to play this way because of quality, it’s all to do with the way Jose sets up. This is the way it’s going to be now, the style of football. Like it or ‘lump it’, excuse the pun! 😂
Totally agree
I’ve seen plenty of matches under Poch where we battered the opposition but couldn’t score. I didn’t enjoy losing or drawing those games.
The nature of the different styles of play is that we’re going to create fewer but better chances by playing on the break. We will concede more attempts in goal but they will be worse chances on the whole. xG never did us any favours under Poch. I’m happy to get the better end of it now.
On the balance of the match we deserved to lose but I don’t really care. This was a game where we defended well in the main and took our chances. City’s cynical fouling approach caught up with them.
You could see the confidence of our players change over the course of the match – we started out scared of conceding and finished on top.
This win will do wonders for the team. We should enjoy it!
I agree
Don’t you guys feel like a weights been lifted off?
Everyone that’s stayed being in the fight together [imagine rose making his “I forgot how to play this position non-tackle” as Marhez waltzes by] or [Eriksen going through the motions making sure not to injure himself]
Imagine what score the defeat would’ve been, atleast Aurier, Lo Celso, Tanganga & all the lads give 110% for the cause, that’s what allowed us to get the win when most of us were fearful of even a draw.
Even though for most of his tenure, Poch was great, after the final even Poch was going through the motions, not looking comitted to the cause like Jose is.
Things are getting there bit by bit, be positive guys, what’s the point of being any other way.
Before Poch left [even though I was shocked like most of you]
I could not see any way in hell we could get forth, now how can we not after yesterday.
COYFS
Excuse my happiness. I’ve been counting my blessings again this morning (family. friends. few quid. yidz 😁 and things are going well. Will be busy making my blessings “count all day.😊😊 GIDDYIDDY. COYS.
Plus. Gooners are being brought to tears😂😂 come pity them. It’s fun😂😂😂😂😂😂.
Easty. I come to your side of the street in peace for a quick word. Come enjoy the good bits on our side of the Street man There’s a party going on and the party hasn’t even started 😊 right. I’m heading back now brother before someone nicks my lady and my drink 😁. YYIIDDZZ
And mummy? Equal rights bredrin😂😂 gonna be a good week boys. Looking nice outside. Rinse it. Don’t worry it will never get boring doing so.
I have a plan for that. When passing the nearest sweet shop give the kids a few quid to get some spangles. When they’re in there give it to daddy haaard😂😂
Go easy on the under 11s (discretion) And try not to go too hard on dad’s in front of their kids.
Your plan for this week tapps? “Giving it” to all gooners and the rest of the mugs. feel free to join me boys, it’s “free. No mercy unless frail 😂😂😂😂😂😂
We all loved watching football as kids. But would much rather play it (three and in. Headers and volleys or “a match 😁) kids kicked a small ball about in the old lane back in the mid 70s on match days (in the corners) Try getting a ball in there now. Times change. Kids do the same too now at Haringey borough. Won’t be in 10 years time when we’re in the prem😊
The little lovely old lane. Let it go. Apart from the “lights nights” and the other great bits. Climbing the old floodlights. Great childhood memories.
Me and the yanks clash. Not really a big fan of them. Bullys. Love their family guy. American dad and the wicked south park. “Timmmay. Some of their musics ok. Their sports are $h!t😂
I agree with you. Excuses will be made like “well we won”, or “well it’s city” or “all of our shots were on target”. Truth is, last year we would expect to beat all teams at home, we got lucky city can’t shoot, we didn’t play well at all. I prefer to watch us play well. That said, city were very very lucky as they had a LOT of decisions to their way, every 50/50 fell to them when decisions were made. Sterling should have gone on 12th minute, he should have gone again for the dive (that no one is calling him out for) and there were a large number of fouls not given that stopped is turning play to our attack. Regardless of that though, we still struggled to pass to our own players, our set plays were poor and our organisation was a mess. We have a long way to go to get the basics right.
ok.
100% shots on target is pretty impressive.
Until we have a team that matches Man City or Liverpool this is how we have to play them to get results.
Under Poch we would’ve lost pretty easy, we showed great resolve & apart from some nerves from Sanchez & the Aurier Pen we played pretty well.
You always need a bit of luck to get a result like this, but don’t forget, Sterling was lucky to stay on the pitch before Zinchenko hot sent off.
Jose is definitely having a good effect on the team bit by bit.
With a few signings in the summer & more work on the defence I’m sure we’ll be more competitive next season.
I thought you loved it mate?… It is pretty and big and very american.. But it doesnt excite me, i would much rather we had followed liverpool by example and spent ‘some’ money maybe expanding white hart lane stands, but ‘most’ of the money on the team and backing the manager… The team and players are most important…. Look at bournmouths stadium they only have 12,000 at a push. Its naturally about 11.500. I thought they were going to build too but they are staying put now.. The weekly empty emirates and etihad stadiums are strange and a slight warning that nothing is guaranteed.
Tottenham rose to fifth place and moved within four points of fourth-placed Chelsea as Jose Mourinho’s side got the best of the champions on Monday (AEDT) despite having only a third of possession and being outshot 17-3.
Yep, only relieving factor was that we won. COYFS!!! Winning is good.
😆 For sure. Lamela can take them but he never starts. Also kane can take them but that would be silly. Trippier used to take a lot we actually miss him at times…. We need a decent dead ball specialist….. Im sure ‘tintins’ nickname came from someone on here, or H himself. I implore whoever first said that. Possibly the funniest football nickname ever.
I think you’re right, but the immediate problem is Europe next season. Kane will have lots of appealing offers, Son is not at the races, some want Dele sold, Hugo needs a replacement lined up and it will be back to Levy identifying young “talent” to replace the better players. eg did we really need Fernandes right now? Do we need a complementary striker to partner Kane while we are still in the CL?
I was playing.
Could add Son apart from his nice strike. And the “fact” that we would have lost if Poch was still there. Remember Pep calling us the Harry Kane team. What could he have meant?
What does that mean? Eriksen could have been in the summer for a good price, an exorbitant price by Levy left a disaffected player. Rose should have been sold, one of the best left-backs in England loaned out. And his google comment was relevant to Levy’s parsimonious approach. Was Trippier deadwood? He was not replaced. The disaffected and clearly unhappy Verts is still there and will leave on a free.
Praise him as a serial winner but not for gratuitous opinions.
Yes, it could have been game over if not for Hugo. Either side of that save.
Is he physically mature enough to be the central striker with long balls and hold up play? I’m certain Jose is wanting to protect him and give him gradual minutes.
I’m not Moura’s biggest fan but he is improving his build up play, moving on the ball quickly and a nice assist today. Plus he has pace which always troubles defenders.
I agree, he is an x factor with quick service to the box, a slow long ball entry doesn,t suit him. He is not a top technical player like Lo C , Bergwijn etc. Mourinho has publically admitted this.
Your source for this fact? I thought so, talk rubbish but keep it real.
He wouldn’t have taken on the Tottenham squad before Poch developed the best watch team in the EPL. Dele needs to play off the shoulder of the key striker, ideally Kane. Mourinho himself said as much when he was appointed. Jose suggested that Dele had been previously played out of position, which is precisely what he himself is doing because we have no back up striker.
Lo Celso, Tanguy and Bergwijn are exciting technical players. Will be interesting to see if they flourish or flounder. This team’s style may well depend on it. Dele is finished if he continues with a mid-field role.
My thoughts exactly. What do they show in training to get the corner gig?
Dele has scored 6 goals already under Jose, there no way Dele isn’t pulling his weight.
He went through a poor run of form but he plays a certain way, he’s unconventional and might not look like he’s working to say he’s not trying is complete cr*p IMO…
I am moving on, what choice do we have?
If we are moving in to boring football and squeaking wins 4 shots to 18 at home, then as a Spurs fan that respects the traditions of the club I have every right to be critical.
I’m very happy we won, not with the way we won, any other day and Citeh win that game…
So are lots of managers, up and down the football leagues. Doesn’t mean anything other than a bit of theatre for the fans. Do you honestly think the players even notice, they’re playing ffs…
Why single Jose out for special praise then? Some are animated some aren’t, Warnock is animated for example, so what?.
Don’t get this instant love in with Jose from some Spurs fans. I respect what he’s done in his career (to not would be idiotic) but the style of football is the antithesis of what Tottenham Hotspur are about.
If we win loads of stuff then the football will be tolerated, if not then I’d rather see a different manager play better stuff.
I think Maureen could be successful with us but with the financial commitment from ENIC I just can’t see it…
Possibly, but Tanganga is a big strong unit, Maureen generally favours bigger athletes in most positions where the battling is done.
As he likes to lump it long, the striker needs to generally win the first ball. With Maureen that ball is generally coming in the air and generally over your shoulder.
You need strength to win that battle. Parrot doesn’t seem to have enough of that yet so he’d rather use experience instead. If Parrot was 17 but built like a brick outhouse he might be getting game time…
Match stats from today;
Possession
Home 33% Away 67%
Shots
Home 3 Away18
Shots on Target
Home3 Away 5
Corners
Home 2 Away 6
Anyone who thinks this is acceptable for a team like Spurs, with our footballing traditions can go and get £ucked…
Health & safety lot too busy protecting pigeons ankles on the roof.
Yes, its the section that lowers for the NFL pitch, it isn’t wide enough, steep, and seems a bit dangerous..
One of commentators mentioned its a big pitch….wonder what the rules are if you can change it size during a season?
Yep. But Davies. If Jose can do good things with him I’ll rate him more (Jose) hopefully he can get him taking corners. He can hit it sweet.
I like the way your brains “TOTTENHAM ticking” man. COYS
For me, the Superbowl is impossible to get excited about.
Yeah that kind of reaction is one of his admirable traits. Previous spurs managers tended to just accept outrageous decisions, guaranteeing they kept getting them.
I think Jose coming needed to be now. (Not 5 years ago) Calm yet still passionate Jose. The timing was close to perfect. You gotta rate levy for the way he used poch. Get over it snow flakes. People use people.
I think Poch cried too much after Madrid, he couldn’t pick himself back up off the floor…
I’m going to cut Jose some slack with regard to Dele. When he came into the club he had to devise a strategy as to how he will achieve his objectives, also knowing he won’t have an open Chq book. The time will come when Dele will be dealt with for being slack. He either comes to the party or will face the consequences. Jose doesn’t have favorites, he just wants to win! Whoever doesn’t play for the team will be toast.
It’s strange that he has faith in Tanganga but not Parrott when given our predicament up front odd really!
I Hope he gives him a run on Wednesday. This way all questions will be answered.
The substitutions were also non defensive.
Levy told Jose to get Dele playing well so we can get good money for him in the summer. He can keep the lot. Jose try get him up to £100mil again. Good luck😂😂
He is young, he is raw but his essential attributes as a CF are that he is focal point, holding the ball up bringing others into play which surely is worth a try as only other recognised number 9. In for a penny in for a pounds, speculate to accumulate. Be bold give it a go Jose and lets see what happens !
He didn’t say that East Stand.
I saw that today and wondered if the design of our pitch is responsible for that. There is hardly enough room for a run-up to take the corner.
Aurier would be great if Jose can weed out the silly and sometimes costly errors out of his game. He played well today apart from the penalty give away.
How many do ?
Because we don’t have anyone else. Parrot won’t start iunder Maureen so no point in going there…
Tbh I’m note sure about that but I suppose it’s worth a shout. I know the kid a star in the making but needs to be managed properly.
Son’s corners were even poorer than Tin Tin which is saying something!!
Dele’s had two good games in almost a season and a half. He should be no where near the first 11 atm. Moura is out of position so you can cut him some slack.
Indeed!
Personally Parrott’s my preference!
That is a shift isn’t it?
Moura is playing as a lone striker at the moment which is crazy but that is thx to Levy. We will have to put up with that for the remainder of the season. Moura is also someone that’s difficult to assess. He can give you moments of brilliance and at times he goes into auto pilot.
Not when the match fixers tell them not to😂😂😂😂
Fair point.
He’s 2nd in assists for defenders in the league to only Alexander Arnold.
Not too shabby.
Every full back makes mistakes, yes he makes his fair share, but he’s also massively contributing at the other end.
Bearing in mind hoe our season has been all take that.
He also made an important goal saving header that looped nicely into Lloris’s arms
Cuss me for the way I support my team. With nice words. Take your time.
IMO It’s fair to say that Jose is more animated than Poch on the touchline!
Ok. Easiest way to deal with you. ENIC OUT. “OK.
Did Moura put in a shift? who does a lot of running about I give him that!
And other managers don’t? WTF is this?
He did, and you didn’t…
I can assure you that Jose knows the situation with Dele but he has to use what he has at his disposal. Bergwijn and Fernandes are part of his plan to put pressure on Dele and anyone else who don’t put in a shift. With Tanganga he is shaking up our defence and they are getting better, we now just need Davis to return.
Ta
Good summation DD.
The guy cares, he wants to win , simple as that.
Did he play that well? not really what you want from your full back to make reckless challenges in the penalty area with frequent regularity!
Wish I could do verbal elequance. I Can’t even spell it😁
