Boost for Tottenham as transfer target reveals he is a Spurs fan – club has already enquired about him

Tottenham transfer target Alex Scott has revealed that he is a Spurs supporter and that he is already ‘best friends’ with a Tottenham player.

According to transfer insider Dean Jones, Tottenham are among a host of clubs that are interested and have ‘enquired’ about the Bristol City superstar.

The 19-year-old is an extremely highly-rated youngster sought after by a lot of clubs including West Ham, Wolves, Brighton, Brentford, Crystal Palace, Everton, Leicester and Newcastle United among others as per the.

He was described as “unbelievable player” by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola following Man City’s 3-0 victory over Bristol City in the 5th round of the FA Cup.

And now the player has revealed that he is not only a fan of the club but also best friends with Tottenham youngster Alfie Devine, further fueling the speculations.

He told the Guardian:

“Alfie Devine, who I now play with for England (Under-20s), is probably one of my closest mates. Being a Spurs fan I remember when he scored against Marine at 16.

“I was watching that with my dad at home and thinking: ‘He’s going to be the next one to come through at Spurs.’ Now I’m best mates with him at England level. That in itself is surreal for me.”

This season for Bristol, the central-midfielder made 48 appearances across all competitions, scoring twice and assisting 5 goals.

Alex Scott is a versatile midfielder who can operate in a number of different positions, including central midfield, attacking midfield, and on the wing. He is also a strong dribbler and has a good eye for goal.

His performances in the league earned him the EFL Championship Young Player of the Year award.
