A report from Football Insider claims that they are still keen on signing the 28-year-old striker and they have now received a boost in their pursuit of the England international.
Apparently, London rivals Arsenal were keen on the striker but they have now cooled their interest in the player and are looking at other alternatives.
It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can win the race for his signature now.
