BOOKIES HAVE REVEALED WHAT the final Championship table would look like if determined by bets placed.
With less than two weeks to go until the season gets underway, the bookies say Burnley leads the way in the popularity charts with punters, and Vincent Kompany’s men are currently 12/1 to win the league.
Elsewhere, Norwich is unsurprisingly up there in terms of bets placed and would currently sit in second, while Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Cardiff, and West Brom make up the play-off spots.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Sunderland have raised a few eyebrows on our trading floor and are currently behind just two other clubs in the popularity charts for this year’s Championship title.”
He added: “As for the other end of the table, it seems very few have faith in Blackpool as things stand, while Preston and Rotherham are also expected to go down.”
