Tottenham have been struggling with injuries all season, with over 21 players sidelined with various injuries across the season.
They lost Destiny Udogie, Ben Davies, and Timo Werner in the last couple of weeks, and now they have lost Richarlison and Yves Bissouma as well.
The Mali midfielder picked up an injury against Burnley and Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou.
Speaking ahead of the big match against Manchester City, Postecoglou confirmed that RIcharlison will continue to sit out with his calf injury and will miss the final two games.
He also revealed that Bissouma picked up a knee injury against Burnley and will miss the rest of the season out.
He said (via Football London):
“He (Richarlison) will miss the next two games. Nothing serious, but obviously enough to keep him out of the next two games. Bissouma unfortunately picked up a knee injury in the weekend’s game, so he will miss the last two games of the season as well.”
The injuries will come as a big blow for Tottenham, specially given the magnitude of the game. The clash will be a top four decider as well as a title decider.
Richarlison’s absence will be the most significant one given his form. He came off the bench to spark a semi comeback against Liverpool, scoring one and assisting another.
If Spurs can manage to beat the current champions, their hopes of a Champions League qualification will stay alive.
