The ongoing transfer saga surrounding Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has taken another turn, with Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness claiming that discussions with Kane’s camp indicate the player’s desire to complete a move to the German club.
Despite having two bids rejected by Spurs, Bayern remains determined in their pursuit of the England international.
Previous reports suggested that Kane had already been convinced to join Bayern, with terms agreed upon. It was also rumored that Bayern would make a third bid, hoping that Kane’s push for a move would pressure Tottenham into agreeing to a fee.
In a recent interview with Kicker, Hoeness has revealed that everything is agreed upon with Kane’s camp.
He stated that Kane had given his word and expressed a desire for the move, adding that if the player keeps his word, Bayern “will sign him”.
Hoeness also accused ‘clever’ Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy of trying to buy time in negotiations by not disclosing the price he is seeking for the striker.
Hoeness praised Kane’s entourage, describing them as pleasant people who have stood by their promises thus far.
He also acknowledged Levy’s negotiation tactics but expressed confidence that an agreement could be reached.
He told Kicker:
“Harry Kane has very clearly signaled that his decision was made. If he keeps his word, we will sign him. Tottenham will have to give up, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge speaks to him regularly.”
“What we really liked about Kane is his agents, his father, brother, they’re very pleasant people. So far Kane’s camp always stood by their promise. If that stays the case, then it’s okay.”
“Daniel Levy is clever. First we have to get him to name a price. He’s playing for time. He’s a great professional. I appreciate him very much. But on the other side (Bayern), there aren’t people who have been doing this since yesterday.”

This interview might not go down well with Levy but it seems that the pressure is piling on the club to sell him. It seems like it could only be a matter of time before the two clubs come to an agreement over a fee.
The player’s heart looks set on a move and a deal could be completed over the next few weeks.
