Another setback for Tottenham: Gold shares update on injured player suggesting his season is over

Tottenham have confirmed that summer signing Manor Solomon underwent a minor surgery to his meniscus on his right knee.

This comes as the latest setback for the young winger who Spurs signed on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk after being left impressed by his performances for Fulham last season.

After a bright start to his Spurs career, in which he scored 2 and assisted 2 in 5 appearances, he suffered a meniscus injury to his right knee, requiring surgery and initiating a recovery process.

He has been out of action since then, missing a total 24 games for the club so far. His recovery was going well and was expected to be back in late January, however, he suffered a setback and there was no update on his him until recently.

The player shared a post on his Instagram yesterday, confirming that he has not fully recovered yet.

And today the club shared an update on him, confirming that he has undergone another minor surgery to his meniscus on his right knee, with the road to recovery now once again underway.

And Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold has shared a further update, stating that while there is a chance that Solomon could be back in training just before the season ends, the club will not be rushing him, and instead, will be focusing to make him fully fit for next season.

He posted on X:

“Understand there’s a chance Manor Solomon could be back training just before the season ends after minor meniscus surgery on his right knee yesterday, but there’s no rush for him to be back for this campaign with the club looking for him to be fully fit and ready for pre-season.”
