The problem with situations where things aren’t going well is, that whilst the majority of people will be expressing their genuine emotions, there will always be others that see an opportunity to add their own agendas to the discontent, in order to solicit more mainstream support to their own agendas. There have been many examples of this happening in politics over the years, most commonly when a nation’s economy tanks, and suddenly certain groups are put up as either part of, or the cause of the problem.
This may sound rather deep for a football page, but I’ve noted with increasing frequency in other places a new development whereby Chelsea and Manchester United fans pop up in threads and comments sections to tell us Tottenham supporters that José Mourinho is in fact, a force for evil, and we will be well rid of him. What I’m curious to know, is where were these fans when the trophies were being lifted at their clubs – having a sulk in the kitchen?
Now, the gaffer’s praise of Ben Davies is being used by some as another reason to dig the Portuguese out.

I think it tells us more about Jose’s opinions of the laggards then what he thinks of Davies.
I doubt Jose will get the money but hopefully be allowed to wheel and deal at least as I doubt he will get a freak season like when Leicester won the league to get a bump.
He’s not brilliant and people miss that about him – it’s not his job to brilliant.

I believe Mourinho should stay and to be given another season whatever happens this season provided Levy backs him in the next window and let the manager choose and buy his players within reasonable budget after that if Jose fails Levy has every right to sack him before that happens I cannot blame Mourinho anything happened so far that is my opinion cheers.

With nearly every player on insta or twitter I would suggest this is a clever use of social media to boost the confidence of one player while sending a message to the rest of the squad. As players often say the only opinion that counts is that of their manager, imagine how Davies feels reading this quote from Jose
I haven’t seen what quite a few others see in Davies, as I simply don’t think he’s good enough to play for a supposed top 4 side. However, the fact that he played injured, stepping in for Reguilon and doing very well in the game – in fact better than I’ve seen him play this season – shows me he cares, and that’s very rare and valuable in this squad.
In my eyes, he’s moved from the “absolutely get rid” category to “probably get rid eventually, but keep for now”. We need people who are willing to sacrifice themselves for the cause, even if they are limited.
Also, hating on Jose because he praised Davies for fighting through injury to help the team? What sad existences these must be. Yes, it was in all likelihood a thinly veiled dig at Bale and maybe others, but that’s fair enough, the guy pockets over a million pounds a month from Spurs, which is a lot for someone who only bothers to play when the stars align.

I for one have never doubted Davies being a pro…unfortunately only a squad player but you can see why Jose plays him with the likes of Dier and Deli adding nothing to the team and Bale using Spurs as a Virgin Gym membership…..I really don’t see how anyone would pay 60m for Deli, more like 25m….we will be lucky to get 60m in total for the crap on the books…Levy couldn’t shift Rose for £8.00 and a pack of fruit pastels – this is going to be depressingly slow summer transfer window..
