Tottenham Hotspur received a significant boost as one of their players, who was previously considered unfit, has shown positive progress.

Spurs’ striker Richarlison recently revealed that he is experiencing discomfort in his knee and does not feel completely fit.

Rumours were suggesting that the Brazilian striker could be sidelined for the upcoming Premier League fixture against Luton Town on Saturday.

However, Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou provided a positive update on Richarlison during the pre-game press conference ahead of the game against Luton.

The Australian manager shared the status of the forward’s condition, acknowledging a knee issue but reassuring that the player is managing it well.

Postecoglou mentioned that the player trained and is feeling good following proper management of the issue.

He said (via Football London):

“He is okay. Had a bit of a knee niggle and we’re managing him. Brazil managed him but he trained today and feels good.”

Richarlison joined Brazil’s national team for two international friendly matches against England and Spain. Despite not featuring in either game, he expressed feeling discomfort in his knee and admitted to not being fully fit.

With Postecoglou’s latest update, fans can now breathe a sigh of relief as the in-form goalscorer could potentially be available for Saturday’s fixture.

Richarlison was in great form for Tottenham before the knee injury

Richarlison has been in outstanding form lately after recovering from groin surgery in December of last year.

The 26-year-old has been in scintillating form, netting 9 goals in his last 11 appearances in the league.

Richarlison’s potential availability comes as a positive sign for Tottenham as they aim to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.
