Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has provided an injury update on midfielder Dejan Kulusevski, who picked up a knock against Crystal Palace earlier today.
The 25-year-old Swedish International has been exceptional for Tottenham, and losing him for the upcoming UEFA Europa League final would be devastating for the club. However, the Tottenham manager has now issued a positive update on the player, and the fans will certainly breathe a sigh of relief.
Dejan Kulusevski’s injury is a minor one
The Tottenham manager confirmed that the medical team are not too worried about Kulusevski and it was a minor knock for the player against the Eagles today.
He said (h/t Alasdair Gold)”He should be ok. Just talking to him after. The medical team are not too concerned about him. It was just a knock.”
Tottenham are already likely to be without James Maddison for the Europa League final, and they cannot afford to lose Kulusevski as well.
Gutted. Just absolutely gutted. We’ve had our sights on that European final in Bilbao from day one of this campaign. So to accept not being able to take part out on that pitch with the boys is really tough to take. Injuries are just part of this game that can be so cruel at… pic.twitter.com/Ykyjv2Dv3A

Tottenham must keep their key players fit and fresh

They should look to rotate their key players for the remainder of the Premier League campaign. They have nothing left to play for in the league anymore. They are in desperate need of winning the European competition if they want to compete in the Champions League next year. Losing a key player like Kulusevski would be a huge disadvantage for them.
Meanwhile, the player has been linked with an exit at the end of the season.
Tottenham will face Manchester United in the final of the UEFA Europa League, and it will be interesting to see if they can win the competition. There is no doubt that they have a talented squad, and they have the potential to beat Manchester United as well.
