“already inquired” – Sky Sports journalist claims European heavyweights are interested in signing 27-year-old

Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund are reportedly looking for a left-back to strengthen the position in the upcoming January transfer window and Sergio Reguilon is one of their targets.

As per Patrick Berger of Sky Germany, Real Madrid’s Fran Garcia and Tottenham Hotspur’s Sergio Reguilon are two prominent names that the German club have inquired about.

He claims that the 27-year-old, currently on loan at Old Trafford from Spurs, could cancel the loan via a clause to go to Signal Iduna Park.

He shared the update on X (which translates to): “BVB is looking for left-backs – alongside Fran Garcia, Sergio Reguilón is also on the list. Dortmund has already inquired about him. The 26-year-old Spaniard is currently on loan from Tottenham to Man United, but can cancel the loan via a clause.

Reguilon has made just 10 appearances for the Red Devils this season and could be tempted to a move to Dortmund.

Spurs would too entertain any offer to offload him permanently given that he is surplus to requirements at the North London club.

Tottenham signed Destiny Udogie last year who has established himself as a regular starter at Spurs under Ange Postecoglou.

He is one of the best left-backs in the league right and now certainly one of the best players at Spurs.

They also have Ryan Sessegnon who is close to returning from injury and Ben Davies as back up options.

Which is why if Dortmund make an offer for Reguilon, Spurs will have no problem accept it.
