Life in N17 has been a mixed bag for a good long while now. Yes, we had the glory of that Europa League win, but equally, the football for most of the last two seasons was dire to watch. Indeed, it was so bad under Ange Postecoglou that the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium no longer afforded the lads much of an advantage. 22 games lost was not just a club record, but a record for the division itself, as this was the first time a club in the English top flight lost so many games and yet failed to get relegated.
The squad was disjointed, with goals not coming from either striker as both Dominic Solanke and Richarlison huffed and puffed, crucially racking up little in the way of goals. Tough times, despite the trophy.
Now, deals are popping along nicely with both Mohammed Kudus and Mason Gibbs -White (subject to a legal dispute from Nottingham Forest) have made the place feel a little more loved.
Now, Ben Jacobs has news of yet another deal that’s close to happening.
Exclusive: Spurs close to finalising a stadium naming rights deal with a Saudi entity the frontrunner.
Advanced talks taking place. Dealmakers have put forward two companies, one a PIF subsidiary, and a secondary company unaffiliated. Legalities being explored so as not to… pic.twitter.com/NAe0Ae86Ry

Advanced talks are underway for stadium sponsorship, something that many had probably lost sight of, as it had been so long coming.
Senior government figures have been involved in discussions to head off any clash with Newcastle United.
After all this time, it will be fascinating to see what might finally occur.
Are ENIC looking to sell up?
