‘a different level…’: Pundit admits Tottenham signing has proven him wrong this season

By Saikat -

Tottenham signed James Maddison from Leicester City at the start of the season.

The 26-year-old England international has been outstanding for the north London club so far and he has already established himself as a key player for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

When he joined the club at the start of the season, popular pundit and former Crystal Palace Chairman Simon Jordan was unsure about the player. Jordan publicly admitted that he was not a fan of the player, but he has now accepted that Maddison has proven him wrong since his move back to the Premier League.

Jordan said on talkSPORT (12:11 pm, February 10, 2024): “Maddison, I thought he was a bit of a jackdash, some of the things he said last season when he was at Leicester.

“Danny Murphy has been nagging at me for ages and forever that he is a talent. I watched him last weekend, and some of the quality on the ball that he has is at a different level.”

The Tottenham midfielder has three goals and seven assists to his name in 13 league matches and he has transformed the North London outfit going forward. There is no doubt that the 26-year-old is one of the best attacking midfielders in the league and Jordan claims that his performances are at a different level right now.

Tottenham fans will be delighted with the performances of their summer signing and they will hope that he can continue to perform at a high level and help them return to the UEFA Champions League by the end of the season.

The North London outfit missed his creativity and technical attributes when he was injured earlier in the season and they will hope that he can stay fit until the summer.

Maddison will look to build on his impressive start to life at Tottenham and help them win a trophy in the coming seasons.
