Tottenham Hotspur said goodbye to three different players who went out on loan during the January transfer window. Bryan Gil left for Valencia, Tanguy Ndombele departed to Olympique Lyonnais, Dele Alli for Everton, and Giovani Lo Celso.
They’ve not permanently left the north London club despite the trio not being on the squad. They’ll be looking to impress their clubs in hopes that they’ll spend the money to make their stay permanent or display a good form to entice another club to pay a fee.
In an interview with Give Me Sport, Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge gave his verdict on which one of the three players will be returning to Spurs when their loan deal expires in June.
“I think out of the three that have been loaned out, who’s the likeliest to come back for pre-season? I think it would be Bryan Gil for me,” Bridge said.
Valencia supporters were recently chanting for Gil to stay with the club, and three people will play a role in the 21-year-old’s future.
Manager Antonio Conte, Gil, and Valencia owner Peter Lim are essential factors, but Valencia is strapped for cash, and Spurs didn’t include any option or obligation for a purchase.

Agreed, i was watching Diaz at the weekend, and he has seamlessly fitted into the Liverpool team, and pulling up trees already. We buy these players that never seem to acclimatize to the premier league, and i dont know how our scouting network keeps getting it so wrong..
Diaz is the finished product whereas Gil is essentially unproven. Another punt by our beloved chairman hoping to make a mint on him in the future.
Diaz of similar build seems to be doing fine..may Gil should’ve been played more centrally.
I’ve heard that Belly is doing well in France so hopefully that will continue and he manages to stay focussed and off the junk food. Lo No Show I don’t know but I think he managed to look good in his debut. Neither are suited to the PL imo, our league is too fast and physical for both of them, though I think Belly could have shone but is just lazy.
There is a possibility then if N’Dombele and Lo Celso don’t impress their new teams they could be back at Spurs in the summer eating up large sums of money.
That’s not good news for the fabled rebuild.
Will Gil be in any hurry to come back after his experience with Spurs. If he is shining in Spain no doubt other Spanish clubs have taken notice.
I like Gil, he seems to have the right attitude, and he has lots of skill. I think he wasn’t ready physically for the premier league, but i would like to see him come back again.
