“It’s done” Fabrizio Romano calls another Tottenham Transfer

link

Great news for Spurs, as another body is removed from the payroll and another ‘old hand’ well past his best is finally shunted out of Hotspur Way.

I take a view that too many words have been typed about this player, against what we actually got from him as a player. That may sound harsh, but the boy has been living off the back of a few ‘nearly’ seasons at Tottenham for far too long.

That said, I wish him well, and perhaps at Everton, the one-time exciting prospect can finally deliver. Frank Lampard is going to need him to be a starting XI regular. This will not be a holiday camp.

Sky Sports are also supporting the legitimacy of the story.

There are various other transfer tales doing the rounds this afternoon. Yet none have been confirmed. Lo Celso to Villa Real is one, and another is Tanguy Ndombele is another.

I want to say thank you Dele for some of the great moments you gave us at Spurs clearly the last 2 years have been poor as you well know

But dont forget you dont do what Dele has done being a bad player believe me

Pleased to see he’s out of the picture along with Ndom, hopefully the two new lads will give a positive and fresh look to the squad .

Hilarious, he turned up on their doorstep only to be told the deal had broken down due to his absurd wages.

The news all over the web indicates the deal with Barcelona has collapsed, or is there another foreign club after him?

Wonder if Boohoo will still want to be involved now he’s gone to Everton.

Presumably if they win the title etc. I think £10m is the basic sum unless they go berserk.

Lyons won’t be paying £200k in wages – it will be subsidised to a significant degree….

Sky talking about £40m fee for Dele. Appreciate they, Everton, have a bit of form for overpaying, but come on!

I agree with all that has been said, I just hope he does not come back to bite us on the bum,

I have no problem with the permanent transfer of Dele, as he was clearly not part of our plans any more, nevertheless I am surprised at the reported price tag. Just £10m? Surely for an English born, 25 year old international, in spite of his recent decline, we could have managed to get £20m for him? I mean Levy put something like a £55m right-to-buy clause in the loan deal for Ndombele, which is asinine, yet just £10m for Dele! Once again the actions of our diminutive supremo confound logic!

Two of the three wasters out – only Lo Celso left. These three all had absolutely awful mentalities…all have talent, but time to get a group with the right smarts.

As a side note to this window, we seem to have an extremely workmanlike central midfield, unless winksy can unleash his inner Pirlo

Everton have him on an initial free. When/if he plays 20 games Everton pay us £10m I’d say that’s pretty fair considering his attitude and clowning recently. I thought we’d have to pay somebody to take him permanently!
With Dele, N’Dombele and Gio gone we’d be saving around 500k a week in wages.

Tanguy confirmed!

Also, let’s see if Dele can do it. Wish him well, but I’m glad he’s out of the door.
