Tanguy Ndombele has been told to knuckle down and win back his place in the Tottenham team even though he wants out of the club.
The Frenchman is one of the most talented members of the current Tottenham squad, but he has failed to hit the heights that were expected of him initially.
He fell out of the first-team picture under Jose Mourinho last season before winning his place back.
He has similarly fallen down the pecking order again under Nuno Espirito Santo and it could be the end of the road for him.
He is undeniably talented, but he lacks the effort and consistency to allow any manager to trust him at the club.
Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge is the latest individual to discuss his current absence from the Tottenham team and he claims the midfielder needs to know that he has to get down to work to win a place back in the team and the France national team even though he admittedly wants to leave.
He said via Football London: “Tottenham really have to get him, meet with him, and just say ‘look, we know you want to leave, you’ve got a good thing here and you’re not going to get back into the French squad like this, just knuckle down.’
“We all know how good he can be, he’s a YouTube player. Imagine our showreels, it won’t take long to get Ndombele’s best bits. He needs to knuckle down because he’s not young anymore and I’m sick of excuses from him.”

Agree. Saw pound signs from the sell-on value. Typical Levynomics
He’s an amazing talent. I’m not sure what he expected when he moved from Lyon for a large fee. Was it to come and sit around on his a*se? I very much doubt it, so what the f*ck is he doing behaving like a complete muppet?
When he moved I heard a French journalist say that there were quite a few doubts about his attitude. I just think Levy focused on his talent and was convinced that he’d be worth 3x the fee in a few years, given his age.
Bale, Modric, Carrick we’re so determined along with their talent. Unless you’ve got that you’re just an overpriced Adel Tarrabt…
Very poor scouting if you ask me.
Will need him to step up now Lo Celso is in trouble
What a shame this he is. The boy is wasting his incredible potential. Shows just how important it is to have grit along with your talent. This ones a snowflake.
