Ten Hag’s new deal doesn’t rule him out of Tottenham job and no one has rejected their offer yet

One of Tottenham’s top managerial targets is Erik ten Hag of Ajax, but he has just signed a contract extension at the Dutch side.

The highly-rated manager led them to the Champions League final in 2019 and even though most of his best players were sold off, he has still kept them at the top of Dutch football.

His team plays an amazing brand of attacking football which is enjoyable to watch and that is something Tottenham’s fans have missed since the club fired Mauricio Pochettino.

The Athletic says even though he has signed a contract extension at Ajax which signifies that he wants to remain with the Dutch giants for the long term, Daniel Levy will still approach him if he decides to make him the next Spurs boss.

The report then adds that no manager has been offered the job yet and Spurs haven’t been rejected by anyone either.

Spurs are also reportedly a long way from naming a new manager and they are looking for one that has a similar philosophy to Pochettino.

If the candidate has Premier League experience, it will make things easier, but they are also targeting managers from the German Bundesliga.

Hah! Must be it. ten Hag has done wonders with Ajax of course, but bending time and space could be tricky even for him.

I think Bruce must’ve switched the TV off early in injury time in that semi final 2nd leg.

ten Hag is an exciting prospect. But did he really lead Ajax to the CL final in 2019, Bruce?

But signing that Extension wasn’t really a ‘come and get me’ flag to Levy.
